Pecos - Y voló (English translation)

Spanish

Y voló

Tiene dieciocho años en su joven piel,
residuos de muñecas, en sus uñas
porque sigue siendo niña
en su cuerpo de mujer.

Vive encarcelada entre los murmullos
de una gran ciudad.
Y, de vez en cuando, llora,
no vio nunca el mar.
Desconoce tantas cosas,

aunque aquellas cartas
que dejó olvidadas
las haya escrito yo...

English translation

And she flew

She's eighteen in her young skin,
dolls remainders, in her nails
because she's still a child
in her woman body.

She lives trapped between the murmurs
of a great city.
And from time to time, she cries,
she never saw the sea.
She doesn't know many things,
that one night of these
she has to scape...

And she flew...
she left leaving behind her parents and a box
where she keeps letters of a first love,
she left crying without saying goodbye...
And she flew...
she scaped a night going towards to the sun,
she scaped yelling with her sweet voice:
I want to be eternal, I want to be a song!

And when you see her, tell her
that I have no hard feelings for her,
though those letters
that she left forgotten
were written by me...
