Partly it's because there's punctuation missing in the lyrics. I'll edit the lyrics now.
Also, it's "entenderán", not "entenderá" (the N is hard to hear, but makes a lot of more sense... I yahooed it just in case, and at least there is another page that lists the N).
-> so in the 'entenderán' line, would 'su lugar' stay as 'its place' or change to 'their place'?
-> tbh 'what I was by your side/I'll keep does sound a little odd...I'll probs change it when I think of something better, I think 'All that I was by your side/I'll keep' sounds slightly better so I may change it to that if nothing else occurs to me...
btw thanks for editing the lyrics and the rating
Glad it helped :)
Yep, roster31 already answered your 1st question.
For the second, maybe splitting it in two sentences... something like "What I was by your side / I'll keep it for myself" or "The one I was by your side / I'll save her in my memories" eerrm... I'm blabbering now.
Good translation, Vimto but, I must say, I'll stop at those points and thought twice.
"Ya te encontrará" I suppose refers to "el consuelo", the same way "la verdad" 'te va buscando'. However, in the next line, I think it's HIM, considering that "otro ocupa su lugar", so there was one before (it's clear in the chorus). I know, within the lyrics, it is a very sudden change; perhaps it lucks punctuation. I am not sure.
