Ashes

After
enduring the pain for so much time
after feeling your oblivion
after all the things
that my poor wounded heart
gave to you
you came back to see me
to let me know
about your misfortune
because of the bitterness of a love
like the one you gave me

I can neither forgive nor give you
what you gave me
you have to know
that in a dead love
there is not rancour
and if you try to remove the ruins
that you made

You will only find ashes
of all the things that my love was

You came back to see me
for me to know
about of your misfortune
for the bitterness of a love
as equal as the one you gave me

I can neither forgive nor give you
that you gave me
you have to know
that in a dead love
there is not rancour
and if you try to remove the ruins
that you made
you will only find ashes
of all the things that my love was
you will only find ashes
of all the things that my love was

Yo traduje 'Cenizas" pero interpretada por Julio Jaramillo. ¿La has visto?

Yo creo que la que yo hice estuvo bien desde un principio, porque la traduje hace ya una semana.
Pero, en fin, buen trabajo. Gracias.

Another very very nice translation, Jorge. One question and one little suggestion. I know that the primary meaning of "remover" is "remove." But do you think that in this case "stir up" would be a plausible translation?
The suggestion: it would be more emphatic and more faithful to the Spanish to translate "Que tú misma hiciste" as "That you yourself made."
