Hi everyone! As it seems that the previous topic about ESC was deleted, I decided to post another one. May you tell here your favorites songs, your most hated songs, your thoughts about the event in general... Everything you want related to the wonderful event that Eurovision Song Contest is. :)

My top six songs this year are Estonia, Macedonia, Israel, Albania, Slovenia and Portugal :)
You already see that I generally only support songs that are at least partly in the national language, in my opinion its totally boring that almost everything sings in English nowadays, I want to hear all the beautiful languages, thats what's the ESC is for!
I can't stand this year's entries of San Marino and Cyprus, imo the worst.
Our entry for Germany is quite boring, but at least the guy is handsome :P
I agree, that's why I'm always supporting ex-Yu countries. They're always singing in their language, and thanks to Eurovision I discovered these languages and I started studying them.
I like Macedonia, Israel (a lot), Slovenia and Portugal. I think that Cyprus is great, but I can't stand San Marino either, ridiculous.
I enjoy Roman's song, I prefer the song to him actually :) I think you guys can reach top 15 easily, but as you won 2 years ago, I understand winning back is not a priority. x)
What do you think of French entry? I personally don't like it that much, but many people seem to like it.
Hm yes France's is amongst the songs I like the least. I can't really explain why, I somehow don't feel it, it doesn't feel right. But I heard Anggun is actually a Javanese princess which impresses me, I have to admit ;)
Yeah, she is Indonesian but she has been living in France for more than 15 years now and she's now a French citizen. She was a teenage rock star, she used to sing in stadiums in front of thousands of people, which is really impressive. I like her music, but this time I was disappointed.
Of all the songs I've heard, Norway's the best for me
This year, I have several of my fave artists representing but their songs just stink (hate it when that happens)

I'm most disappointed by Lithuania's entry. For me it's one of those songs that have such potential to be great but the producer/songwriter didn't really take the chance to push it to the max. Now that's not a winning song lol
OMG I totally agree, actually I think Lithuania is 41st out of 42 in my top... I hate it...

Japan does'nt have such a big mucial program.so it's veryyy exciting!
Yeah, you know I'm French and my country participates every year, though the event isn't so popular here. I agree when you say that's it's very exciting because, I think apart from the competition, it's an incredible opportunity to discover singers from all over Europe. Without Eurovision, I wouldn't know my actual favourite singers!

My favs? Wow, the list is really big. From 2000 to 2012, I should say all winners apart from 2001.
Also all the songs composed by Zeljko Joksimovic (Serbia & Montenegro 2004, Bosnia 2006 and Serbia 2008 added to Serbia 2012), most of the songs in Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Macedonian or Slovene, actually.
I could tell you more than a hundred songs I love... x)

It seems like you guys really like the Balkan countries. I'd love for one of them to win, mostly so the ESC can be hosted where it's never been before (I think they've only won once or twice?)

Serbia has won in 2007, indeed...and it is my favourite winner since I can remember...and I still know a part (not everything because I don't understand a word) of the song by heart :-) My favourite balkan contestants this year are Serbia and Slovenia...But I won't "see" their performance because they come in 2nd semi-final and I'm not home!

@linds113 I'm crazy about everything related to Balkan countries! I truly am. Serbia is the only one who has ever won, but I wish to all countries to host it one day. They deserve it so much.
@aylin_22 Well we've already talked about it :) but I also love Croatia, competing in the 2nd SF...
