Thank you, Wolfgang, for posting so many version of this song composed by the great De André.
I had to change the target language from Sardinian to Sardo-Corsican because both Sassarese and Gallurese are Sardo-corsican dialects.
Anyway you can find on antiwarsongs also some translations into the real Sardinian language.

Hello Marco, thank you very much for your comment and for relating this version to the correct idiom. :). I just added three versions in different Sardinian vernaculars - I hope they are related correctly this time. The numerous varieties
of Italian are very interesting.
'Faber' is a favorite singer-songwriter (cantautore) of mine because of his unusual and highbrow lyrics. Nearly two years ago, it was his song "Fiume Sand Creek", which motivated me to discover the hobby of translating lyrics... :)
You are welcome, my friend. I am a fan of Faber, too. Moreover he loved Sardinia so much that he chose to live the last years of his live in Sardinia, which he considered as his adoptive homeland. So he really deserves his songs to be translated into Sardinian, although his poetical style is hard to translate in any language.
By the way, as I often tried to explain, Sardinia is politically (not geographically) an Italian region but Sardinian isn’t an Italian dialect but a standalone language, genetically different from Italian, with his own dialects, as you can see by the translations you have added.
If I had to make my own translation I would chose some different words and a more precise spelling, but well, they are good enough and are rather free, not very literal.
Thank you again for your interest. :)
Just to get an idea... :)
