I guess this site not have blockin feature. I don't wanna see someones comments, votes, or notifications... I think lot of people want this too.
block someone
If a user is bothering you you should tell him/her this directly.
And if that user is breaking any website rules (e. g. spamming or insulting) you could report him/her.
We do have such feature, but that only prevents the user that you don't want to be bothered by from ever contacting you via PM or e-mail, if I'm not wrong. (The way of blocking someone and not receive any contact by them is available on the Messages tab of your profile).
So, it's better to do as Sciera said.
Like yours? Depends on whether we deem it inappropriate.
I don't think we have so far banned someone for their user name.

Yes, there currently seems to be a general bug. I've already reported it, we now just need to wait for the admins to fix it.
Thanks Sciera for the reply Hope it gets fixed soon A big problem this bug , this time ...
If you don't need conflicts here then there should be a button "to block a user" so that they couldn't add their comments to your translations, collections and so on.
"If a user is bothering you you should tell him/her this directly". It sounds naive and strange for me.

But why would this be necessary? If a user harasses others, the comments in question get removed anyway. And otherwise, I would strongly prefer bearing other users' comments in exchange for also being able to leave my own comments under their content.
Users already can block comments by any user if they don't want comments on a given translation.

Well it worked well for me thus far. Not like I get into conflicts here very often anyway.
"Users already can block comments by any user if they don't want comments on a given translation".
Please, explain me how can I do it. Show me that button, please.
Click on "edit" on any of your translations and scroll to the bottom. There you find "Comment settings", and you can change it to "Closed" or "Hidden".
I have seen closed comment sections on normal users' translations before that were clearly closed by the users themselves and not by the staff, so it's something not only available to mods (or at least it was like that at some point in the past).
Hm, I'm sure that it was a thing also for normal users.
Perhaps people abused it?
I remember the moderator abusing this right. He was a person of interest.
I say one more time. If you don't need conflicts here then there should be a button "to block a user"
Oleg, that will allow someone to say outrageous things that others can’t respond to. Avoiding conflict isn’t always a good idea.
Surely, one can just ignore comments from certain user without going to an extreme.
Ivan sometimes is a bit rough, but not to the extent he has to be silenced. Maybe, he will read it and realize he needs to tone down. Personally, I never saw anything he said that deserves to be so severely branded. I hope I am not wrong. I think if you do write him, you might find out his intention wasn’t bad?
I don't remember this feature for general users. Afaik, only we can do it.
