How does someone become a "moderator"?

As for the medals, they were given by the administrators after work week was finished as some kind of 'thank you' to the participants. Work week (which actually lasted longer than a week) was a program made to comment and rate more translations on the site, providing more feedback so to say...

The reason some people may have few thanks is because this is a new feature.
Members can vote and thank. But guests can't vote on our translations anymore, so now they can only thank someone if they like the translation (so they won't abuse the rating system, by giving low ratings for fun).

As for becomming a moderator, you have to become eligible for the role.
I don't know how much info I can share on this subject, so I hope one of our administrators might fill you in on it.

I had the same question in my mind; I hope someone would explain thoroughly.

Мне кажется админы выбирают по следующим принципам:
* Как часто онлайн пользовател сайта?
* Как давно пользуется сайтом?
* Как оцениваются его переводи другим, и какие отзывы делают про него?
* Как часто помогает другим?
* Как обращается к новичком сайта?
* Как часто "здоровуется"?
* Какое у него терпение на ненужных и недоброжелательных комментарией, брошенные в него.
* Какими словами критикует переводы других.
* Как отреагирует на "врагов" сайта.
Скорее всего это еще не все. Мне кажется еще, и в его переводах и в его комментариях должны существовать определительные моменты, чтобы оценивать можно было его интеллигенцию. Отличительный характер в писании, объем знании, развите культуры..., если пользовател сайта это все смог передать другим, то и он когда-нибудь получить письма от админа.

А потом время от времени - но могу сказать, что не очень часто - админы предлагают другим модератором несколько "кандидатур". Обсуждается "дело" в модераторской комнате. И таким образом решается, к кому идти с предложением - принимать ряд среды модераторской команды.

Надеюсь ничего тайного не выдал.

I'm not sure how does it work - becoming a moderator...
My guesses:
Your registration to the site - at least 6 months?..
Your comments to the topics/transations are constructive, helplful, gentle?..
Do you inform a moderator/admin, when you recognize that something wrong with the translated texts, translations or site layouts/bugs?..
How easy you lose your control, when a user of the site "tries to drive you/others out"?..
How often you are online?..
How and how often you try to help others?
If you have got the "correct answers" to the questions like these, and moderators support your moderatorship, so you will be invited to the "moderator team" by admins.
