The Goodbye Kiss
The time when she left you
You wouldn’t put this orphan attitude/face on
When you put the goodbye kiss on her forehead
You wouldn’t look at her* face this way
Even though the most painful words come to my tongue
I am afraid that some words will just fly out
You felt in my hand like a fire/fireball
Ohh my tears (you promissed) you wouldn’t fall

This was actually a poem a poet wrote for his daughter who died of a disease. When she realized that she could not recover and would die, she made her father (the poet) promise that he wouldn’t cry. But when she died the poet couldn’t hold his promise and cried, and as an apology for not standing by his word/promise he wrote this poem (which later was composed to a song) about his farewell to his daughter.
* this song was covered many times by different artists, but in the original poem and the first adaption, this line sounds like "Yüzüne" (to his/her face) in stead of "Yüzüme" (to my face), so I translated it as it is in the original. The difference is that, in the original, the poet has an internal settling/conflict about that he could not keep his promise and he talks to him self about the goodbye to his daughter.
