Nuclear Shelter
They found a secret door
behind a public toilet,
it was old and rusty,
and could be opened with a crowbar.
A band of four hooligans,
without knowing what is it about
suddenly found themselves
in a nuclear shelter. [1]
"Let's keep this secret just among us,
everybody swear!"
"The pretty one will get some chicks,
and I will get the other stuff."
"Eventhough it is dirty here,
there is less mess here than outside,
just in case, the singing Doctor, [2]
will give you a tetanus shot."
[Ref.]
They did not get used to the shared rent,
these pigs in the hay.
And now the war has come,
and we make love together in the shelter
The party is suddenly slowing down,
maybe boredom? But, no!
They are just arguing who should run
for some new supplies.
They said to the youngest one:
"Here is 500 Crowns [3],
listen, boyo, you are the youngest one,
go get some food, cigarettes, and rum"
He came back very fast,
but without booze and food.
He just held in his hand
a little piece of nuclear warhead.
"There is no point of going up anymore,
whole world was turned apart,
and he rolled himself a cigarette
from the 500 Crown note"
[Ref.]
They did not get used to the shared rent,
these pigs in the hay.
And now the war has come,
and we make love together in the shelter
Surface-to-surface rocket
is coming down on us...

Note: lead singer stutters during the whole song, which adds a comic element with some words in Slovak, but cannot be replicated in English.
[1]: (Czecho)Slovakia has, after the end of socialism, quite large number of disused nuclear shelters, that are often forgotten, and often found on strange places.
[2]: "Doctor" is the nickname of one of the guitarists from this band.
[3]: 500 Slovak Crowns were a little bit more than 10 Eur at that time.
