The old man with a big hat

And we go on a trip
with La Sonora Dinamita and La Morocha

They say it's red wine,
but my little car is a grape-coloured Renault,
it's one of the last models.
He always goes with me
wherever I want, I go with my little car
because he is my companion.

That little car is my life,
I've never had reason to complain about it,
when I get a girl
he carries me wherever I want to go.
When I get a girl
he carries me wherever I want to go.

At your command, missus. Can I drop you somewhere?

No thanks, I'm waiting for the old man with a big hat.

Ooo, short-rimmed dress girl, you don't say.
What a lucky old man!

Here he comes, see.

The old man with a big hat,
that old man sure is a swell guy.
The old man with a big hat,
to get women to go with him
The old man with a big hat,
he seems like he has the secret
The old man with a big hat,
that old man sure's got the moves.

~

I'm going to buy a hat,
a really cool hat,
so I can go and compete
with the old man with a big hat.

Little lady of my soul,
I have a very pressing worry.
Why are you so caught up
with the old man with a big hat?

Thing is, that even a single drop of water
can make a hole on a stone.
This old mas has his little car
and each time he drives by
he smiles at me.

He goes away, he comes back,
if he finds me standing at the door,
he gives me a compliment and honks his horn for me.
He goes away, he comes back,
if he finds me standing at the door,
he gives me a compliment and honks his horn for me, beep beep beep

It's because every time
that the little old man goes by
and honks his horn, beep beep beep.
It's because every time
that the little old man goes by
and honks his horn, beep beep beep.

I live looking for the moment, beep beep
when the old man honks, beep beep beep
I live looking for the moment, beep beep
when the old man honks, beep beep beep

And he's got me charmed
with his beep beep beep
with his beep beep beep
with his beep beep beep
with his beep beep beep
He honks his horn beep beep
and he's got me charmed with his beep beep

(Repeat from:
"Thing is, even a single drop of water")

Is it just me, or is this a lewd song? Me toca el pito, pi pi. Pito is slang for dick according to a dictionary and pi pi sounds like wee wee, anyone?

Hello Mario,
English natives may find a bug or another in your translation, but I give you the five stars because you have preserved the ambiguity regarding the verse:
Me toca el pito

pito = claxon
pito = pene

horn = a car horn
horn = an erection of the penis

The Señorita isn't caught up with the old man because he honks the car horn for her, but because he makes love to her.

A Valeriu said, the whole song is built on a double entendre with the meanings of "Pito" (horn or whistle/penis). I chose "horn" because of the double entendre as well, as he pointed out. I also choose "beep" as the sound because "bleep" is also a common sound used in censoring "naughty" words.

The tone of the song is heavily reliant on this playful innuendo, so what you comment is, of course, pertinent.

We should take the lyrics with humour.
There are two ways to understand:

Me toca el pito > He hoots for me
and
Me toca el pito > The penis touches me

This song is a masterpiece.
Wonderful rhythm.

Variación sobre el tama:
"She touches my penis" pero, en este caso, es una chica la que habla, así que esta versión no tiene, aquí, aplicación.

¡Que lo paseis bien!
