There's a song I've heard a number of times on XM 150 by Miriam Cruz. The name of the song is Pobre de Ella. There's 2 spots in the song that are bleeped. I found several videos of her singing the song. One of them appears to have been a live TV show. She's bleeped there, too. You can't tell what she's saying because the camera is not in closeup on her face so you can't even lipread what she's saying. You probably wouldn't have been able to lipread it anyway since the resolution was pretty low. I also found a few places with just the audio for downloading. The 2 spots are always bleeped. I even visited her official web site & poof magic when you visit her home page, that song starts playing. And the 2 words are bleeped. The several sites showing the lyrics give the passage in question as this:

(y te mande parrr)

Always with the parentheses. I don't think "parrr" is a real Spanish word. It doesn't translate on my favorite translation web site. The rest of it means, I think, "and I send you ______." Same expression as for sending mail, right?

Does anyone have any idea what she's saying there? In today's world, I think it's pretty unusual to find anything censored.

By the way, the song isn't translated on this site, either, although I think I've figured out what the song is about. She's expressing sadness for some other girl who is about to be hurt by the guy who once hurt her. So she's calling the guy something nasty in the censored bit. But I can't imagine what would get censors so wound up as to bleep something like that.

And that's worth censoring? Surely she says something stronger than that . . . I must be missing something.

Machine translations? Why are you telling me that? I wouldn't do that. Do you think I have? Seems to me I've actually expressed the opinion on this web site that automated translation generates at least 50% gibberish. It can offer hints but no more than that.

The expression is mandar para atrás but there are vulgar versions like mandar para la mierda, just as "to give someone the ..." may mean to give them the bird. I was just informing you about machine translations because YOU mentioned a translation site.
