Demanding
We are the last ones to cross the finish line,
the ones, that confuse days with dreams.
And our grand old men
are a little bit nervous from our ways.
We are sitting on the benches in the darkness,
they keep saying that our world spoiled us,
they keep saying, they keep saying
that we are too demanding.
We really want it all -
Clean air and fair play.
Is our world really a cage -
your old ways are an endless circuit.
You keep saying, that we will change,
But you don't know that it is impossible without us.
Lost, lost,
we are demanding.
[Ref.]
Demanding, demanding
Demanding, demanding
Demanding, demanding
Demanding, demanding
We are demanding.
You hung keys on our necks [1],
we are the parentless children.
Today we will give you the bill,
We don't want just anything.
Maybe it is going to hurt you,
hidden into phrases and sentences.
They are just not enough for us anymore -
we are demanding.
[2x]
Demanding, demanding
Demanding, demanding
We want little - just the whole world
We want to take all of what is lacking in this world
To see the true face below the mask.
We are demanding, they say we are demanding.
We want everything today and now,
We want even things that are forbidden to wish for
We want little - just the whole world
We are demanding
We want little - just the whole world
We want to take all of what is lacking in this world
To see the true face below the mask.
We are demanding

[1]: Children with keys hanging on their necks were common sight in the 80s/90s Czechoslovakia in the bigger cities. It was children of parents that were too busy at work, so they had no time to pick up their children from school. Therefore they were given keys (on a string on neck, so they won't lose them) - so they can come back to flat on their own. Instead, they usually hung with friends around the residential block streets. It is a symbol of a child whose parents don't have enough time to take care for.
