I want to get to speak English and German perfectly one day! Afterwards I'm going to take up Dutch . And then, why not, a Scandinavian language, such as Swedish!!
A mon sujet
Well, I'm just a teenager who is eager to learn as many new things as possible!! At the moment I'm in high-school, where I'm specializing in Maths and Informatics, two subjects which are not only incredibly hard but also very vast. Therefore, I do have difficulty in understanding them, but in Maths' case, after getting the clarifications needed, I truly enjoy it. It's logical and it broadens your mind. As for Informatics, all I can say is that I was completely wrong about it . It isn't anywhere near as logical and enjoyable as I thought, but I still like one particular branch of it: algorithms. I also like History, Geography and Economics, I learn such a lot of interesting things from these classes! However, my favourite subject is undoubtedly Physics. I've just discovered how beautiful and interesting it can be if you understand it. I'd like to study it in greater detail, it holds the mysteries of this world, after all. Instead, Biology is something which is so repulsive to me that I just can't find the right word to describe my disgust for it. I loathe, abhor, despise it!!!
In my spare time I enjoy reading, hanging out with friends, watching movies, listening to music and playing the piano. I'm really into classical music and my favourite composer is Mozart. All his pieces are vivid, cheerful and relaxing and, to be honest, I could hardly imagine how one could dislike them!!!
Travelling is something I am really fond of. I'm always curious about other cultures and one of my dreams is to see the whole world! In any case, if I were to make a list of ten countries I would like to visit, this is what it would look like: Germany, Finland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Holland, Estonia, Iceland, Australia . However, the truth is that my favourite country is England, but I've already visited it. I went there twice, to London more exactly, and I simply fell in love with it. Consequently, I've been dreaming of living there someday! Samuel Johnson is right: when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life!
In addition to all these, I have a great passion for Germanic languages and I am willing to learn as many as possible. What I most love is English and then German - that's why getting to speak them perfectly is something that I wish with all my heart! Doing these translations proved to be helpful in improving my language skills, namely my range of vocabulary and some parts of grammar. Furthermore, I'd actually like to get a translator's certification in English and German and I thought it'd be best to start practising! Thus, I'm open to any suggestions or corrections you might wish to add about my translations - so please don't hesitate to do it!
