From the Guarding Eye of my Mother
From the guarding eye of my mother and carelessness of my father
The iron bridge has broken down from my feet trampling on it
I passed by the rock doves from one valley to another
And I counted the stars of the sky once and twice
God, please, with the praise of our beloved prophet, don’t leave in the valley
I turned those fire branches of mine into a bridge and I crossed over to my home
From the guarding eye of my mother and carelessness of my father
The iron bridge has broken down from my feet trampling on it
Oh Abboud! Bring the fife
And make the one with dark eyes start dancing
And let the beautiful Marmoura
Sing and let the gunpowder fire up
Oh Abboud! Bring the fife
And make the one with dark eyes start dancing
And let Shahroura Sabouha
Sing and let the gunpowder fire up
And please keep me in your mind
While we are partying in the night
And give me a wink and don’t pretend
That you are (not) looking at me
And keep coming around
From time to time
And whenever I cut promises to myself
And know exactly who is the one (that I dreaming about)
Oh Abboud! Bring the fife
And make the one with dark eyes start dancing
And let the beautiful Marmoura
Sing and let the gunpowder fire up
And about Nadda, Nadda, Nadda
Flowers are blossoming from her cheeks
And if they refused to let you be my wife
I’m going to break down the highest mountains
And Nadda walked down towards the stream
I asked her: where have you been all that long?
She gave me a wink with those eyes of her
She wants to start talking but something is preventing her
And about Nadda, Nadda, Nadda
Flowers are blossoming from her cheeks
And if they refused to let you be my wife
I’m going to break down the highest mountains
And Nadda walked down towards the stream
I asked her: where have you been all that long?
She gave me a wink with those eyes of her
She wants to start talking but something is preventing her
And about Nadda, Nadda, Nadda
Flowers are blossoming from her cheeks
And if they refused to let you be my wife
I’m going to break down the highest mountains
I’m going to break down the highest mountains
I’m going to break down the highest mountains

This is a very traditional song. There is a story behind the title, or at least that’s what found when I looked around.
So it says: [in front of the looks of my mother and carelessness of my father… the bridge leading towards my lover has been cut off from the regular steps of my feet]
[موليتي] means my mother.
[مولايا] means my father.
By the regular and frequent use of words, in this case, a popular song, sounds tend to drop to make the pronunciation easier. Nowadays, the song is pronounced as it is written in the title, which sounds a bit meaningless.
[المجوز] is a music instrument similar to the fife or the flute but with two pipes instead.
[الأموره مرمورة] meaning beautiful Marmoura, denotes here to the singer herself “Myriam Fares”.
[الشحرورة صبوحة] denoting to the artist Sabah, they call her “Shahroura” meaning “blackbird” as she has a beautiful voice just like that one of a blackbird.
