Ragnheiður Gröndal - Ást (Angol translation)

Angol translation

Love

The sun burns the night
And the night shuts off the day
You are my shelter before
And after sunrise
You are my darling before
And after day rises
Refreshment in the summer's fire
And a drop of sun on winter's ice
Cool breeze on summer days
And sunlight on a winter night
Silence in hypnotizing degeneracy *
And singing when everything's quiet,
Singing in the silent forest
And silence in the city's buzz
You gave me the earth and the grass
And God in heaven as a friend.

You gave me the clouds the mountains and god,
To make me strong
I didn't know how beautiful life was until I loved you.
I was born to life and to love,
When I learned to care about you.
My love will never fade
Until I myself do.

Ages and moments crash down
With a dazzling sound
There's nothing in the entire world
Except eternity god and us.

You gave me the clouds the mountains and god,
To make me strong
I didn't know how beautiful life was
Until I loved you.
I was born to life and to love,
When I learned to care about you.
And my love will never fade,
Until I myself do

You gave me the clouds the mountains and god,
To make me strong
I didn't know how beautiful life was
Until I loved you.
I was born to life and to love,
When I learned to care about you.
And my love will never fade,
Until I myself do

"Seiðandi solli" is a very confusing fraze. I went with "degeneracy" because that's the only word that seemed to describe it as it doesn't quite mean "sin". If you have any better words or phrasing please contact me, I'll be happy to hear it Regular smile
