O-Zone - Dragostea din tei (Szlovén translation)

Szlovén translation

Ljubezen pod lipo

Mai-ha-hi
Mai-ha-hu
Mai-ha-ha
Mai-ha-ha-ha (x2)

Hej, pozdravljena
Jaz sem, tvoj ubežnik
In prosim, sprejmi mojo ljubezen
Hej, pozdravljena
Jaz sem, tvoj Picasso
Všeč si mi, zato sem te poklical
V upanju, da sem tudi jaz všeč tebi
A zapomni si, od tebe ne zahtevam ničesar

Želiš si oditi od tu a ne moreš, ne moreš oditi brez mene
Ne brez mene, ne brez mene
Ne brez mene, ne, brez mene ne moreš oditi
Tvoj obraz in misel na naju, skupaj pod lipo
Me spominjata na tvoje oči (x2)

Kličem te, da ti povem
Kar mi narekuje srce
Pozdravljena ljubezen, jaz sem, tvoja sreča
Pozdravljena, pozdravljena
Spet sem jaz, Picasso
V upanju, da sem tudi jaz všeč tebi
A zapomni si, od tebe ne zahtevam ničesar

Želiš si oditi od tu a ne moreš, ne moreš oditi brez mene
Ne brez mene, ne brez mene
Ne brez mene, ne, brez mene ne moreš oditi
Tvoj obraz in misel na naju, skupaj pod lipo
Me spominjata na tvoje oči (x2)

Mai-ha-hi
Mai-ha-hu
Mai-ha-ha
Mai-ha-ha-ha (x2)

You want to leave but don't take me, don't take me with you
don't (take) me, don't (take) me with you
don't (take) me, don't (take) me, don't (take) me with you
Your face and the love from the Linden tree
remind me of your eyes (x2)

Well this song was a tough one. It's sung in Moldovan (sub-dialect of Romanian language) so I had to use English translation which is good, but not perfects. Some of the lyrics are direct translation, other are changed by me, so it's easier to understand.

It's written in a dialect? Should that dialect be added to the list of languages? Or should rather an entry be added called "Romanian dialects"? Or are these dialects that close to Romanian that they don't need an extra entry?

This isn't actually a dialect. It's a (Moldovan) subdialect (like Muntean, Bănățean etc), which makes it closer to standard Romanian than a real dialect (Daco-Romanian, Aromanian, Istro-Romanian and Megleno-Romanian; Daco-Romanian is the standard one). The Aromanian dialect features as a language here at my request because there are significant differences, but subdialects have very few differences from standard language and they are rarely written and mainly spoken. The differences between a subdialect and standard language are like the ones between American English and British English, so there's no need for a separate "language" to be added.

I added diacritics to the text and read it again. There's actually no subdialect here, it's standard. Only the pronunciation is a bit Moldovan, but the language is 100% standard Romanian.

Ah, okay, thanks for the information.

This is a very good translation. Being native in Romanian ans having studied some Slovenian in school, let me tell you you've done a great job! Regular smile
