Closed for renovations / In another miserable life
Fechado Para Obras/Dans Une Autre Vie Misérable
Ando vazio de amor
Sou terra sêca e muitas miragens
Esta merda é gozar com um gajo
Começou de uma maneira muito engraçada
Estava eu
Ando fechado
Para obras
Dans cette nuit lunaire
Certains peuvent manquer d'air
Mais seuls les gens valables
Que jamais je n'accable
Aurout le droit et peuvent en êtrefiers
De dormir sur ce sable...
(Nesta noite lunar
Alguns podiam ter falta de ar
Mas só as pessoas de valor
De quem nunca direi mal
Terão o direito e podem estar orgulhosas
De dormir nesta areia)
Dans cette vie je préfére
Ne pas manquer d'air
Etre à la fois capable
De paraitre impeccable
Et avec mon air à deux airs
M'endormir sur une bonne table
(Nesta vida prefiro
Closed for renovations / In another miserable life
I have been alone, without love
I am a desert, where I see only mirages
This sh*t is enjoying life with a buddy
It started from a very funny way
I was¹
I have been closed
for renovations.
In this lunar night
Some people might be in trouble
But, only those worthy people,
whose names I will never say,
can be proud of themselves and will have the right
of sleeping in this sand.
In this life, I prefer not
to be ashamed.
And to be able to
look like impeccable,
with my two-faced looking,
and fall asleep on a table.
This last beer glass,
even if it is not truly indispensable,
I will never regret
separating the inseparable
It was a bet that I had to do
in another miserable life.
Google Translate is my biggest friend:
>Esta merda é gozar com um gajo
The translator gives it as: "This sh*t brings pleasure to the guy." I'm not sure what guy the author means: himself or some other person.
>But, only those worthy people,
which I will never say their names,
"But, only those worthy people,
whose names I will never say..."
>of sleeping on this sand.
If I'm not mistaken, with the noun "sand" one should use "in": "of sleeping in this sand."
>I will never be bitter
have separated the inseparable
Tricky. How about this?
"I will never regret separating the inseparable."
Thank you for all nice suggestions, I just want to point out the first one:
After reading what you said, came to my mind another way of translating the sentence, which could make more sense, it would be:
"This sh*t is enjoying life with a buddy"
Gozar has two meanings:
Enjoy life/other things AND to cum.
But, I think the "enjoy life" meaning sounds better. So, once that he says he is going through a "dry spell", so to speak, I think he thinks there isn't anything he can do but enjoy life with a friend/fellow, which could mean "go hunting", like the other song of his.

I didn't have thought about this other meaning because in Brasil we don't use "gozar" as "enjoy" at least not frequently, we use "curtir/aproveitar" instead, that's why I had forgotten it.
Nice thought, I approve this.
