I'm doing an assignment where I among other things need to look at how English have influenced French in the 21st century, and I think it would be interesting if I could find a French song with a lot of English words in it. It's important that the song is European French as that is my focus point, so I can't use Canadian French songs. Anyone out there who can help me :)
Thank you all in advance :)
Hi,
Here are two song from the artist Mylène Farmer with English texts in them:
Love Dance and Sois moi (Be me).
However, try to contact Jethros Paris because he listens to a lot of French rap. I barely listen to French music.
Hope I could help you a bit.
Not sure if this is what you're after, but looks like this French group https://lyricstranslate.com/en/superbus-lyrics.html have a few songs sung entirely in English, and in their French songs they appear to sing in English in the choruses.
Good luck with your assignment!
What about "Darling je vous aime beaucoup, je ne sais pas what to do, you have completely stolen mon coeur" by Nat King Cole..
I suggest this song

A couple of Serge Gainsbourg possibilities...

Hello,
I am perhaps being late with my reply. I know the great hit song "Ils ont changé ma chanson (What Have They Done To My Song, Ma?)" from Dalida, but this song comes from 70's, originally from America and this one is the French version. Probably it is typically not yet a case of later influence of English but it is the interesting song.
