Isis

I1 hear your voice in the wind
I close my eyes, for I was blind
I fold my hands, the journey begins
I hear your voice in the wind

I hear myself calling out, and then I laugh
I see the clouds, I roll by
I laugh and cry all at once
To fall is to fly2

I hear your voice in the wind
I close my eyes, for I was blind
I fold my hands, the journey begins
I hear your voice in the wind

I go to the rocks, and leave time
I die in winter, and stand with you
I wash myself in the rain, I feel the wind
I feel the earth, I hold your child.

I hear your voice in the night
I close my eyes, I have awoken
I fold my hands, the journey begins
I hear your voice in the wind.

  • 1. there's a typo in the source. I believe it should be 'Ich'
  • 2. lit. the fall ends with flight

Hey Rebel, I think you overlooked that in the last verse the chorus changes to 'ich bin aufgewacht' instead of 'denn ich war blind'.

I also wonder if 'in einem Zug' in the second verse might not refer to 'Gesichtszug'? Of course I don't know and could be wrong on this. We almost did synchronized translating again, but you were quicker!

Nicely done!

I can arrange more "work" if you're interested ;)

I bet you can! But I'm just ready to sign out for tonight. Sorry. Will be back and checking for more 'work'? :D

Ahmahgawd, I usually assume the so-call chorus is the same, and end up just copy/pasting them lol. Thank you for your keen eyes, Vevero! :steve:

No please, I love reading other people's renditions! Don't let me stop ya. =) I think you're right about Zug though cuz that makes a lot more sense.

Hey Josh, thanks for your translation, but... shouldn't the last verse be "I hear your voice in the night" since it is «Ich höre deine Stimme in der Nacht»? Just saying... xD
