Little one (Petite)

Angol translation

Little one

My little one, my sweetness
I remember everything:
these heart-piercing heels
and the smell of your neck.
The glittering pavement
after the rain,
your black pearly skin,
the curve of your ass,
this ringing of bracelets
propped up your steps
that put down every time
the outline of my heart.
And most of all your eyes
with their strange glimmer.
My little one, my sweetness
I remember everything.

It was almost dark
and I sweared to the skies
that you were for my life
a new homeland.
I wanted to learn everything,
your laughters, your flag,
the marks on your skin,
I had my heart to sell.
I forgot my name
to remember your songs.
I saved my new memories
for you, to be new.
An amnesiac in exile
and a patriot already,
I told you my ideals
until you took me in.

My little one, my sweetness
I remember everything:
these heart-piercing heels
and the smell of your neck.
The glittering pavement
after the rain,
your black pearly skin,
the curve of your ass,
this ringing of bracelets
propped up your steps
that put down every time
the outline of my heart.
And most of all your eyes
with their strange glimmer.
My little one, my sweetness
I remember everything.

I only wish to find you again
I cannot believe they were mad enough
to pick you up
before I could speak to you again.
I have to tell you
my body can't forget you
and I still wear
your kisses on my skin.
I stalk the streetwalkers
with their crooked scents
selling their fates
for false papers.
Far away from flashy bars
and trendy districts
there stand your little sisters.
I should have married you.

My little one, my sweetness
I remember everything:
these heart-piercing heels
and the smell of your neck.
The glittering pavement
after the rain,
your black pearly skin,
the curve of your ass,
this ringing of bracelets
propped up your steps
that put down every time
the outline of my heart.
And most of all your eyes
with their strange glimmer.
My little one, my sweetness
I remember everything.

Vous m'avez l'air d'avoir aussi bon goût en français qu'en italien, ma chère Maryse.

Just one little thing...

Je t'ai conté mes idylles -> in English "idylles" would be "ideals
and
Je voudrais juste te retrouver -> there's an extra "h" in "wish"

Still a very good translation Wink
