Deep in the recesses of his mind
he conceals his sadness
nothing can be done about it
it no makes no difference
no matter how he tries
It effects
all his decisions
in the moonshine
his frailties and weaknesses are revealed
the darkness calls him
Happy in daytime when he is
momentarily between struggles
but when the day is dwindling
again he is plagued with anxiety
On such a night
he lies surrounded
a prisoner of his grief
in simple meditation
both shaken and sorrowful
That thought remains, creeping
towards his monstrous problems
that rush uncontrollably
about the sands of his soul
that eventually will be destroyed
