Stare Dobre Małżeństwo - Sanctus (Angol translation)

Angol translation

Holy

Versions: #1#2
Holy, holy, holy, a sight that blinds the eyes
Holy, holy, holy, the earth you carry us

Holy dust on the road
Holy stick by the foot
Holy drops of sweat
Holy rock in the field
Take a seat on it, sir
Holy ember of rose
Holy wandering

Holy bread - the breaking of bread
Holy salt - its welcome
Holy silence, holy song
The clammering of true hearts
The heights of eyes engrossed
The beating of confused eyelids
Holy movement and light feet
Holy, holy, holy - the earth you carry us.

The sun and blue teeming zoo
Orbital Aries, Leo, Scorpio and Pisces
The Milky Way, the Magellanic Cloud
Meteors, the Star before morn,
Saturn and Saturna's wreath of wonders
Three rings and nine moons
Neptune, Pluto, Uranus, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter

Holy bread - the breaking of bread
Holy salt - it's welcome
Holy silence, holy song
The clammering of true hearts
The heights of eyes engrossed
The beating of confused eyelids
Holy movement and light feet
Holy, holy, holy - the earth you carry us.

hi michy7x,

look at the difference between "ziemia, co nas nosi" ="the earth wich carry us"
and "Ziemio co nas nosisz" = "holy are you, Earth, carrying us".
and if in english "Holy dust on the road" is not the same as "Holy _is_ dust on the road", i would write it whit "is", becouse of the meaning, which we loose otherwise.

sorry for my english, but i hope you understand, what i meant.

According to the old Polish tradition, on arrival a welcome guest is offered bread and salt.

Bread signifies trust and salt - endurance. In old times, salt was as expensive as gold and in great demand, like friendship Regular smile

Thanks. I'll bear those comments in mind - i wasn't sure of some of the meanings/lore. Regular smile
