Snow

Why is snow so cruel, leaving your footprints?
And why do we run in circles? Why are you running away from me?
The melting snow won’t let me sleep till the morning - it's water.
There is one thing you must know. I love you forever.

The melting snow won’t let me sleep till the morning - it's water.
There is one thing you must know. I love you forever.

Why are the stars' voices barely heard in the twilight?
The wind brought the rain's tears, but I don’t need any tears.
I’ve forgotten how to see into the distance. I’ve forgotten how to count to a hundred.
I’ve learned not to love February. He stole you from me forever.

I’ve forgotten how to see into the distance. I’ve forgotten how to count to a hundred.
I’ve learned not to love February. He took you away from me forever.

We separate because of a lie, we sleep when it's dark.
And when the body trembles with excitement, it’s ok to lose your mind.
If you want to go, go. If you want to forget, forget.
Only know that when you reach the end of the road nothing can be brought back.

If you want to go, go. If you want to forget, forget.
Only know that anyone at the end of the road can not return.

If you want to go, go. If you want to forget, forget.
Only know that when you reach the end of the road nothing can ever be the same again.

Only know that at the end of the road there is no coming back.

"forgotten how to see into the distance" could be forgotten how to look ahead - something to do with the "bigger picture" makes sense with the next line, "forgotten how to count to 100." The speaker is wrapped up in himself, wrapped up in their grief, looking back instead of seeing forward into the distance.
