I Really Like You

Life is a pebble
That I hold in my hand
In order to simply remember
To not forget

The person reflected in my eyes
Will be staring back at me with yours
We are two peas in a pod
Separated too quickly

It was never right
Losing you so quickly
But I sense you, I sense you here

I sense you during the night while I’m getting ready for bed
And I wash my face just like you taught me to do
And I make my decisions on my own
Even if I keep falling, even if I keep missing you

In your eyes, I learned something important
That there’s nothing wrong in being myself
And thoughts of you consume my heart, my skin, my world
Even if I’m angry
Why did you leave me…
I really like you, I really like you

And we get older
Without feeling older
I need to move forward
Even if I miss you

Don’t worry so much
You know that I’m holding up
Because I sense you, I sense you here

I sense you during the night while I’m getting ready for bed
And I wash my face just like you taught me to do
And I make my decisions on my own
Even if I keep falling, even if I keep missing you

In your eyes, I learned something important
That there’s nothing wrong in being myself
And thoughts of you consume my heart, my skin, my world
Even if I’m angry
Why did you leave me…
I really like you. I really, really, really, really like you

In your eyes, I learned something important
That there’s nothing wrong in being myself
And thoughts of you consume my heart, my skin, my world
Even if I’m angry
Why did you leave me…
I really like you. I really, really like you

There is one major problem with this translation.
"Ti voglio bene" is the second most common way in Italian (after "ti amo") of saying "I love you".
It does not mean "I like you."

Well, I always heard that "ti voglio bene" in Italian is not so strong as "ti amo", so I'm not shocked to read "I like you" (in French : je t'aime # je t'aime bien).
