Who will be?

Who will be the one who would love me?
Who will be? Who will be?
Who will be the one who would give me her love?
Who will be? Who will be?

I wanted to experience again
the passion and the heat of a new love,
a new love that would make me feel
happy once again.

Who will be the one who would love me?
Who will be? Who will be?
Who will be the one who would give me her love?
Who will be? Who will be?

I don’t know whether I will be able to find her,
I don’t know, I don’t know.
I don’t know whether I will love again,
I don’t know, I don’t know.

Who will be the one who would love me?
Who will be? Who will be?
Who will be the one who would give me her love?
Who will be? Who will be?

Hi, Andrzej!

I translated this song in 2013, on Helmut Lotti,s version. Have you seen it?

You have a typo in second stanza : "that that"

Nice to have you around. Have a good day!

Hi, Rosa! :)

I knew it was a cover, but I didn't know who sang it earlier. Only now I’ve checked your translation and I was happy to see that our translations were different.

Thank you for correcting the typo that I overlooked. A good day for you too.

This song, from the good old times, has been sung by, practically, every one. Los Panchos sing it, Pedro Infante sung it in some movie, and it has been the theme of other movies, as well. Apparently, Dean Martin made it popular in English, with the title 'sway':

Oh, yes, of course I’ve heard this song of Dean Martin, though I didn’t know that it was based on Quién será. The lyrics have nothing in common, only the melody is the same and I think that’s why I was sure I heard it before, but I was unable to tell who sang it.

In the meantime they sent me a ticket for Julio’s concert. Now I counted and so far I have done 325 translations of his songs and more are still to come. I wonder if there’s anyone in the whole world who could be able to beat that number. ;)

I came to the conclusion that I should write to Julio and tell him that. Perhaps I’ll get the chance to talk to him after the concert? There’s only one problem - how to do it. He has accounts on Facebook and Twitter, but I bet he never reads any messages. They are clearly intended for fans only and there’s no way how to send him a personal message. I can only send PMs to other users - some of them are even registered as “Julio Iglesias”.

The only possibility would be his homepage, but for sure he never reads any messages. Only some of them that may interest him could be redirect to him. If I send him a message as a fan, he’ll never read it. I wonder if it would not be better to write in the tab “Contracting and management” saying I’m not a promoter. I can add a link to my translations, but the problem is what to write as “capacity” - this was meant for those who would like to organize the concerts and this field is obligatory. Currently there are 8 thousands places (10 thousands are planned):

What do you think, Rosa?

For sure I will. I believe that any artist would be happy to meet someone who has translated so many of his songs - even if just for a while.
