Ljeto je zeljo moja

Nema pjesme
Nema ptice
Dom da naleti
Ne čuju se sa čardaka
Dragi koraci

Ej karanfile
Ti uginu zbog mene
Ej karanfile
Ja bolujem zbog tebe

Ljeto je željo moja
Cvatu ljiljani
Miriše bašta tvoja
Na te podsjeti

Ljeto je željo moja
Cvatu ljiljani
Dabogda crko onaj
Ko nas razdvoji

Iz oka mi suza kanu
Suza jedina
Takva mi je od rođenja
Data sudbina

Ej željo moja
Cvatu ljiljani
Miriše bašta tvoja
Na te podsjeti

Traduzione

O verão é o meu desejo

Não há nenhuma canção
não há nenhum pássaro
voando para o lar
Na casa1 não ouves
passos encantadores

Ei, cravo
morreste por mim
Ei, cravo
sofro por ti

O verão é o meu desejo
os lírios florescem
o teu jardim está perfumado
lembrando tu mesmo

O verão é o meu desejo
os lírios florescem
oxalá morra
quem nos separou

Uma lágrima derramou do meu olho
o único rasgo
desde o meu nascimento
o meu destino marcado

Ei, meu desejo
os lírios florescem
o teu jardim está perfumado
lembrando tu mesmo

Thank you very much for your explanations. About "dabogda", if it is like the Spanish "ojalá", then in Portuguese it is "oxalá". In fact, the two verses don't make much sense to me in the English translation. Please tell me your suggestion in English, German, French, Italian or Spanish for these two verses: "Dabogda crko onaj / Ko nas razdvoji".
About Čardak, I've checked that there are several places called Čardak or Cardak. Yes, it makes sense if it refers to a type of house. Which words do you suggest for translation, "house", "old house", "wooden house", ...?

I would suggest to translate it as "house" and add footnote to explain the exact meaning.. it seems to me important to imagine the situation better the singer wants to put us in.

Thank you very much again.
I agree with you, I'll change to "house" ("casa", in Portuguese). But, what do you suggest for footnote?
Furthermore, in the previous verse it is also "house" ("Dom da naleti"). Is the poet refering to the same house?
About the other sentence, in Portuguese it's "Oxalá morra quem nos separou". I'll change it.

Thank you for your help, Zubeyra. I guess now it's better. I included a link for images of čardak. :)
About, the "Dom", as you say "hogar" in Spanish, then it is "lar" in Portuguese. I changed it too.

I guess, only someone who really knows Portuguese and a south slavic language can rate the quality of your translation but to me it looks good :)

Yes, it's not easy. Anyway, I translated it from the English version.
Thank you. If you are interested in some song in Portuguese, if you need some help, just tell me so.
