Antonio Aguilar - Qué lejos estoy del suelo donde he nacido (traduzione in Inglese)

Spagnolo

How far I am from the land where I was born

How far I am from the land where I was born!
An immense nostalgia invades my thought,
seeing myself so sad and lonely, like a leave blown by the wind
I would like to cry, I would like to die of all my grief.

Oh, land of the sun, I sigh wishing to see you,
now that I live so far, without light or love!
And seeing myself so sad and lonely, like a leave blown by the wind,
I would like to cry, I would like to die of all my grief.

Oh, land of the sun, I sigh wishing to see you,
now that I live so far, without light or love!
and seeing myself so sad and lonely, like a leave blown by the wind,
I would like to cry, I would like to die of all my grief.

Hola,

Qué lejos estoy del puerto........puerto not land in the title

Second "grief" was written as "griff".

Thank you, Celal. I corrected 'griff', the one time.
"Puerto" doesn't necessarily mean "port", (if that's what you are thinking), but his refuge "home".

Maybe he says "pueblo" (?). Other versions say "suelo".

I changed it to "suelo". I think that's it. After all, if the word is not clear in the song, it is in the lyrics.
