I am trying to keep the rhyme and rhythm of the original lyrics in my translations in order to make it possible to sing the translation to the tune. Therefore the translation is not word for word, but I believe it captures the atmosphere and the message of the original text.
Ich versuche, in meinen Uebersetzungen den Reim und Rhythmus des Originaltextes beizubehalten, sodass man die Uebersetzung zur urspruenglichen Melodie singen kann. Es ist daher keine Wort - fuer - Wort Uebersetzung, gibt aber - so hoffe ich - dennoch die Atmosphaere und die Bedeutung des Originaltextes wieder.
