I think Laura Pausini could be included in this collection too. Smile

Alma Barroca    金, 16/02/2018 - 11:31

You may want to add Melody Gardot, Elisa (Italy), Mina, L'Aura, Anitta...

Euterpa    金, 16/02/2018 - 12:03

I found that Melody speaks English and French, and Elisa Italian and English... I believe if I include artists that speak two languages, that the list will be too long. Teeth smile So for now I'm adding only artists that speak more than two. I added Mina, L'Aura and Anita. Thank you! Regular smile

RadixIce    金, 16/02/2018 - 12:43

Hey, interesting collection. You may want to add Dihaj (Diana Hajiyeva), Ell (Eldar Gasimov) to the list.
Dihaj speaks Azerbaijani, Russian, Ukranian, English, Turkish.
Eldar speaks Azerbaijani, German, English, Turkish, Russian.

Euterpa    金, 16/02/2018 - 13:13

Thank you! Regular smile I have added both of them. Regular smile

maluca    金, 16/02/2018 - 17:47

Dalida (French, Italian, Arabic, German, English...)
Gitte Hænning (German, English, Italian, Danish, Swedish...)

maluca    金, 16/02/2018 - 17:50

It's hard to find out, what languages the singers speak or spoke and what languages they recorded songs. Dalida, according to some sources, recorded songs in 15 languages...

Euterpa    金, 16/02/2018 - 21:36

Thank you! Wikipedia says 11 so I'll go with that. Regular smile Impressive, in any case...

maluca    金, 16/02/2018 - 23:10

There's a song in Neapolitan sung by her on our list here at lyricstranslate, so that makes it at least 12...

Josemar    金, 16/02/2018 - 18:59

Tarja Turunen: she speaks Finnish, Spanish and English. She has recorded/sung songs in English, Finnish, Spanish, Italian, German, French, Swedish and Latin.

This is one of her songs, it is sung in Spanish, English and Finnish.

Diazepan Medina    金, 16/02/2018 - 19:37

Roberto Carlos. Most of his songs in portuguese were recorded in spanish. He also recorded in english and italian.

Alma Barroca    金, 16/02/2018 - 20:55

If I'm not mistaken, he has performed at least one song in Hebrew as well.

Euterpa    金, 16/02/2018 - 21:58

And I just found he's the only Brazilian who won Sanremo! I made this list for fun, didn't expect to learn some new stuff like this! Teeth smile Thank you! Regular smile

Diazepan Medina    金, 16/02/2018 - 20:40

Another two: Raffaella Carra. Many of her hits in Italian were recorded in Spanish with great success

And Enya: She sang lyrics in english, in latin, Irish gaelic (her native language) and a made up language called Loxian creater by her lyricist Roma Ryan

Euterpa    木, 22/02/2018 - 19:57

I added Raffaella, however, I found that Enya speaks (only) two of those languages fluently, English and Irish Gaelic. I believe if I include artists that speak two languages, the list will be too long... So for now I'm adding only artists that speak more than two. Regular smile Thank you! Regular smile

Alma Barroca    金, 16/02/2018 - 21:24

Renato Russo has songs in Portuguese, English and Italian.

Euterpa    土, 17/02/2018 - 19:51

Enjovher    金, 16/02/2018 - 22:49

Euterpa    火, 20/02/2018 - 21:19

I had been busy so it took me a while to add these...sorry for that. Thank you! Regular smile I'll have to ask though...
Can you tell me does Tiziano speak French and Portuguese or has just recorded songs in those languages?
And does Yasmin speak Catalan? I found that she only sings in Ladino, but doesn't speak it, for example. I can't seem to find that info... Confused smile

mk87    金, 16/02/2018 - 23:00

As far as I know, Cliff Richard doesn't actually speak German, even though he recorded some hit songs in German. I vaguely remember an interview on German television during which he said that all the lyrics were spelled out phonetically for him during recording sessions and that he didn't actually understand a word of what he was singing.

Euterpa    土, 17/02/2018 - 19:47

Thank you! It's been corrected. Regular smile

3oudicca    金, 16/02/2018 - 23:20

According to their website, the wonderful Mediæval Bæbes sing in "in an impressive array of obscure and ancient languages".
I'm not sure how many different languages exactly but am sure Wikipedia can answer that question. However, I very much doubt that they actually speak these languages, so if this is a condition, they are disqualified.

Euterpa    水, 21/02/2018 - 20:39

According to Wiki: They sing in a variety of languages, including Latin, Middle English, French, Italian, Russian, Swedish, Scottish English, German, Manx Gaelic, Spanish, Welsh, Bavarian, Provençal, Irish, modern English and Cornish. Impressive, indeed. I'm not finding though how many languages they, or at least one of them, actually speaks. Sad smile

3oudicca    水, 21/02/2018 - 23:00

Boh, probably just English, sadly. But a fabulous group and worth a listen...

Euterpa    木, 22/02/2018 - 20:01

I'm just listening to "Remember Me", sounds beautiful *_* I even understand some things, thanks to the great similarity of Slavic languages... :D

dhani.ramirez    土, 17/02/2018 - 09:59

What about Fey?, she recorded in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Euterpa    木, 22/02/2018 - 20:17

Unfortunately, I can't find anywhere which languages she actually speaks. Sad smile

Euterpa    木, 22/02/2018 - 21:26

I checked the other members, too and can't find anything about which languages they speak. Sad smile

Alma Barroca    土, 17/02/2018 - 20:24

Mia Martini: Italian, Neapolitan, French, English
Lodovica Comello: Spanish, Italian, English
Lara Fabian: French, English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish

Gigliola Cinquetti: Italian, Spanish, English, German, French

jsanders14    月, 19/02/2018 - 16:29

Aris San sang at least in Greek, Hebrew, and Spanish

Geek49 .    火, 20/02/2018 - 00:24

You should remove Croatian or Serbian from the lists and include just one (the main one fot the person) because they are like 90% same and if you speak one you can speak the other, or add both to all singers that speaks one of them. Serbo-Croatian is a good compromise.

Karaula    火, 20/02/2018 - 17:51

I agree, the best would be to keep only the main language. E. g. Toše Proeski should be Serbian, especially since he spoke only the "ekavica" which is not proper for Croatian and Bosnian.

Euterpa    火, 20/02/2018 - 21:37

I had added Croatian by mistake, somehow I was sure that he had some songs in Croatian standard. Teeth smile I disagree that if you can speak one you can speak the other... you can mainly understand the other, but I consider it an urban myth that you can speak the other automatically. There are many differences that even the natives aren't fully aware of. But I wouldn't want to turn this into that kind of discussion... Teeth smile Thank you, I corrected it. Regular smile

Euterpa    火, 27/02/2018 - 22:34

Wow! I haven't heard of her and now I'm asking myself...why o.O Such a beautiful and powerful voice! Thank you for your suggestion, I've added her. Regular smile

makis17    木, 22/02/2018 - 21:56

P-Code    土, 03/03/2018 - 04:41

Potap & Nastya speak Ukrainian, Russian, and English. Nastya can speak Italian, as well. This song has Russian, and a verse in English and another in Italian: Also, this song is in Ukrainian and Russian (the song is about the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia): They even have a song in Armenian: (The lyrics are in Cyrillic and not the Armenian script, though)

The two members of the duo Vremya i Steklo speak Ukrainian, Russian, and English. Almost all of their songs are in Russian, but they have one (very recent) song in Ukrainian: They also have one song in English: It's admittedly not very good, so don't judge them just on this song. The rest of their songs are far better.

Туна Ченевская    土, 03/03/2018 - 07:57

Naviband speak Belarusian, Russian and English, and have songs in Belarusian and Russian.
Irina Bilyk speaks Ukrainian, Polish, and Russian (I'm not sure if she speaks English) and has songs in all the three languages above.
Tina Karol speaks Ukrainian, Russian, and English, and has songs in all of them too.
O. Torvald speak Ukrainian, Russian, and English, though the frontman admits he is reluctant to speak Russian, according to Wikipedia.
There are many artists from Ukraine who can speak Ukrainian, Russian, and English. Are you going to list all of them?

maluca    日, 04/03/2018 - 00:33

Ishtar - She speaks and sings in Arabic, Hebrew, French, Spanish, and English
