Lettere d'amore songtekst

La pioggia folle scroscia
sulle mie membra
zuppe di nostalgia.

Ho campionato i frammenti di tristezza
perché tu
possa capire

Come l'equilibrio
giaccia sul fulcro di ogni cosa
come l'equilibrio
giaccia sul fulcro di ogni cosa

Scritte sulle lapidi
dei nostri stessi
pensieri,
lettere ignorabili.

Scritte sulle lapidi
dei nostri stessi
pensieri,
lettere ignorabili.

Ora non posso permettermi di perderti
nel grigiore
non posso lasciare
che le industrie cruente
dello stivale Griffato
rapiscono anche te,
amore.

Ora non posso
permettermi
di perderti
nel grigiore
di Milano

How does it feel to comment on the same place almost 10 years apart? :)

Old 👴I miss being a teenager 😛

There is no age to feel like a teenager. :)
You are still young and in the spring of your life ;)

(We feel older because of the average age on the site is decreasing day by day :( )

Will see what you have to say in 10 years ;)
I can say honestly, that today's esraa is a completely different esraa than she was 6 years ago. :D

asîmanasîman    Woe, 19/05/2021 - 08:54

6 years ago, there was an Esra who was a new member of the site and knew nothing, was a teenager, her English was very bad and just started university. :)
This past 6 challenging years has made me grow up and wise. :P
After 10 years, I can't imagine myself here. I hope to be an Esra who is married, takes care of her children and makes a career in her profession. :D

The problem is the wiser you get the sillier you feel.
We can imagine a circle, and all our knowledge is inside of that circle.
Then, the things we still don't know would be outside of that circle. So, we can see borders of our circle, and all we don't know is behind the border.
Now, the more knowledge we get, the larger circle we require, and the larger its "border of ignorance".

That's why Socrates once said: "I know that I know nothing"
And that's why if you claim yourself as a wise person, then you are not for the moment. ;)

I agree with you in this.
I meant that I am wise now, according to Esra 6 years ago.
And I may be wise according to I was 6 years ago, but I'm still an ignorant for my current age. :)
I have absolutely no claim to wisdom. It is impossible to be wise in an infinite world. Socrates is right, the person who thinks he knows a lot actually does not know anything.
I may be a teacher, but I also learn new things from my students every day.

I realize I'm old when my students do not know Johnny Bravo, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Dexter's Laboratory and all the cartoons I watched in the mid-1990's xD They'll never know what it was to rewind a VHS tape hehe

But as the song says: There are young people with eighty and much more years and old people of only sixteen :)

asîmanasîman    Woe, 19/05/2021 - 13:45

I realized that I was getting old the first day I sat on the other side of the teacher's desk. Those tapes were a lot of fun for me, I remembered I did it too many times. :)

But I still watch old cartoons and I like reading children's novels. We must not lose our inner child soul. ;)

[@Alexander Laskavtsev] By the way, maybe you know this but the meaning of the word novel in Turkish is 'Roman'.

Interesting. I didn't know. :)
Actually the meaning is just "a citizen of Rome"
We have the word "Новела" and the word "Роман" in the meaning of novel.
But "novela" is for the little, short "romans" ;)

asîmanasîman    Woe, 19/05/2021 - 14:04

It is a word that passed into Turkish from the French word 'Romance'. Since the first Turkish novels were written in the Romantic style, this is how the word 'Roman' passed into Turkish.

I told this Smight before, but I will tell you this as well.
These are the turkish words passed into ukrainian (you can use GT to see how they translate and sound). Have fun! ;)
1) килим
2) тютюн
3) майдан
4) кавун
5) отаман
6) лелека
7) кабак
8) шапка
9) гарбуз
...there are lot of them...

asîmanasîman    Woe, 19/05/2021 - 14:24

Yes, I remember you said some of those words to me before. :)
There is only Blacksea between us and Ukraine, and we have common points with Ukraine in history. "Hürrem Sultan", the famous wife of Süleyman the Magnificent, was also from Ukraine. And these words reminded me of the Ottoman Empire.

My relief was when I was nicknamed "Salsicha" by my 7th graders after I unintentionally appeared with long hair, bearded, wearing a green shirt and burgundy pants. If you don't know Salsicha, let me show you this and you likely will instantly know him xD

asîmanasîman    Woe, 19/05/2021 - 14:31

Of course I know him :D
Scooby Doo was among the ones I watched the most. But I know the name of this character as 'Shaggy'.

Salsicha is his Brazilian name ;) Don't ask me why as it's not a name ('salsicha' is actually a food made of pork, should not be used as a name). hehe He was the only character whose name was translated, they kept all the others. I think we were the only country doing that as far as I remember.

asîmanasîman    Woe, 19/05/2021 - 14:40

Yes, I haven't heard that the name of this character has changed before. Such a name may have been chosen because this character loves to eat like Scooby. :)

As for me, it is even easier: I realized I'm "old" (though I am forever "well-riped", of course!) when I admitted the fact that the guys whom I perceived as young are already pretty adult. :D
