  • 1. Here; the "rose" is a metaphor. It symbolizes "the beloved one" and "love" all over. In the people's hearts, in the world, everywhere. Also, it's a symbol of prophet Mohammad in İslamic literature.
  • 2. "Prophet" here means "The Prophet", so it means Prophet Mohammad only. The ultimate "rose" is him; as he is the most beloved person. The descent of him means Ehl-i Beyt; His daughter Fatima, Fatima's husband Ali and their children.

  • 4. a. b. In "divan poem"; "Nightingale" is the lover of rose. He cries in the night for rose to bloom it.
    So the loving one and beloved one come together, they become one in love, and love comes all over the world.

Not Only good .... It's perfect work , Thank u Zeynap :) I am interested in the old Turkish and Egyptian poems for their remarkable importance that reflects the Middle Eastern cultures .....nowadays I am preparing to make a research about the Sufism , The Egyptian and the Turkish models are the best of all !! Me, as well I'm interested in our culture but we have to push it so hard to get something, isn't it? It's not like that in western-christian culture that much. garib means strange or stranger in arabic. Maybe it means something like that?

I like how ottoman language resembles persian and sometimes (iraqi) arabic.

Yes it means the same in Turkish but here it means solitary, lonely, poor.
In Turkish, we have many words from Persian and Arabic. Not only in Ottoman Turkish but in our daily spoken Turkish too.
