Mas Que Nada

Ô, ô ô ô ô ariá, raiô!
Obá, obá, obá!

Ô, ô ô ô ô ariá, raiô!
Obá, obá, obá!

Mas que nada,
sai da minha frente
que eu quero passar.
Pois o samba está animado,
e o que eu quero é sambar...

Esse samba
que é misto de Maracatu,
Samba de Preto Velho
Samba de Preto Tutú...

Mas que nada,
um samba como este tão legal.
Você não vai querer
que eu chegue no final...

Ô, ô ô ô ô ariá, raiô!
Obá, obá, obá!

Ô, ô ô ô ô ariá, raiô!
Obá, obá, obá!

Esse samba
que é misto de Maracatu,
Samba de Preto Velho
Samba de Preto Tutú...

Mas que nada,
um samba como este tão legal.
Você não vai querer
que eu chegue no final...

Ô, ô ô ô ô ariá, raiô!
Obá, obá, obá!

Ô, ô ô ô ô ariá, raiô!
Obá, obá, obá!

Come On

O, o-o-o-oh ari-ah, rayoh!
Obah, obah, obah!

O, o-o-o-oh ari-ah, rayoh!
Obah, obah, obah!

Come on,1
get out of my way2
'cause I want to pass.
Because the samba is vivacious,
and what I want is to do the samba.

That samba
which is a mixture of Maracatu,3
Preto Velho-samba,
Preto Tutú-samba...4

Come on,
a samba like this, so good.
You don't want
that I get to the end of it...

O, o-o-o-oh ari-ah, rayoh!
Obah, obah, obah!

O, o-o-o-oh ari-ah, rayoh!
Obah, obah, obah!

That samba
which is a mixture of Maracatu,
Preto Velho-samba,
Preto Tutú-samba...

Come on,
a samba like this, so good.
You don't want
that I get to the end of it...

O, o-o-o-oh ari-ah, rayoh!
Obah, obah, obah!

O, o-o-o-oh ari-ah, rayoh!
Obah, obah, obah!

Jorge Ben's first major success, and one of the most well-known brazilian songs outside of Brazil. It appeared on his debut album, Samba Esquema Novo from 1963, and has since been covered by multiple artists, most notably Sérgio Mendes, and of recent date, The Black Eyed Peas.
