Direct translation would be:
"If the days are slipping away/wasted but the nights are the.." or something like that. It's actually very hard to translate accurately. However the way the "niin yöt ne vasta onkin" is expressed refers to the previous part. The word that is the most significant is "onkin". On means "is" but "kin" adds a similar meaning to "too", "it is", etc. in finnish.
So it the meaning behind it is most likely "the days are wasted but nights are even worse".
"niin yöt ne vasta onkin...." is an unfinished expression... but we use "ne/se vasta onkin" when we are bemoaning about something in a casual conversation... Someone could reply something like "Yeah, I know what you mean.."/"Yeah tell me about it".
An example:
"Minulla on niin paljon töitä juuri nyt" ("I've got so much work to do right now")
"Minulla vasta onkin..." ("Not as much as I do!")
Another example:
"Bensa on niin kallista". ("Gas is so expensive")
"Joo, mutta diesel vasta onkin..." ("Yeah, but diesel....")
A better translation could be "if the days are wasted the nights are even worse.." or "if you think the days are wasted, well nights are just more terrible".
