Tatave

Coming into the world is a real joke.
There are some periods for lucky devils,
Then others during which only clots are born.
Clack clackaclackclack - pom pom.

Tatave, it's then that he arrived.
He drew, drew
from the lottery of life
the series for the luckless,
for the ugly guys and for the losers.
for those who eat in the kitchen1,
who walk on the edges of their boots,
and must never complain.

Tatave! Tatave!
He was a bloody imbecile!

In such cases, without hesitation,
reason suggests looking
without delay for a consolation.
Clack clackaclackclack - pom pom.

Tatave, he fell into the trap.
He tried, tried
the game of love, a rotten fish,
one of those prizes that say "how we love each other"
just the day before betraying you,
one of those ardent girls so beautiful
that nothing seems good enough for them
so much are people afraid that they'll clear out.

Tatave! Tatave!
That girl, she's dumped you.

As soon as he'd known this chick,
Tatave went looking for the money
essential to spoil her.
Clack clackaclackclack - pom pom.

Tatave, with that business, took risks.
He shot, shot
at the employee who was resisting,
shot at two pigs from the local police HQ
who appeared suddenly, armed,
in no hurry to die, the cops
didn't make it easy for this twit.
Tatave, he fell at the scene of the crime.

Tatave! Tatave! Tatave, it's cleaned you out.
Tatave! Tatave! The game was fixed...
Poor Tatave...

thanks for the comments.

I guess "pas gâté" is stronger than I though it was ("not spoilt" means "definitely unprivileged", but doesn't imply mental or physical impairment so it can't be used for something that means "seriously impared"; I thought it was milder than that).

quimper - dropped or dumped are much the same, so I've switched to "dumped" - and now that you've confirmed the meaning I've removed the footnote.

souris = chick either it's new to me or i've forgotten it.

plumer - we have the same use of pluck in English; until some time less than 150 years ago it's use to mean rob/swindle/steal from/fleece/rip off/clean out was regarded as standard english (perhaps not all those alternatives were) but now it is considered as slang.

OK, clear - I've changed the "pas gâté" translation accordingly.
