Good translation but I have reservations for the "homosexual" note.
Since in the chorus "gods" are mentioned, I'm going to go with "different gods" for "dei diversi" ...but then, only Mr. Valerio Negrini will know for sure, or perhaps he likes the ambiguity. :)
Frankly I don’t think “dei” means “gods”, it seems clear to me that “dei” is the Italian partitive article (I’ve restored the Spanish plural indefinite article in my translation, that makes more sense).
There can be some ambiguity because “diversi” is an adjective, but used with a partitive article it becomes a plural noun.
If it had been “sono diversi” you should read it as “they are different”; but with the partitive article “sono dei diversi” it becomes “they are the different ones”, that is a specific kind of people.
This way of saying is very common in Italian to avoid using rude words, and all Italians understand it very well.
I’m sorry, I can’t agree with you but thank you anyway for your comment, it helped me to clarify my point of view.
After some suggestions by inedito (gracias, José) I have changed a little my translation so that “dei diversi” could be easily understood also in Spanish.
