2017 will be a weird year for me... I plan to go back to college (I plan to take another undergraduate course like Literature, History or Pedagogy), but at the same time I want to get a job and start a graduate course - I'm even thinking of themes my Master's Thesis could have...
My resolution is to learn a new language :p Italian or Spanish, we shall see...

Why is everyone calling me Sebastian now? I mean, it is my name but I find it very weird that y'all started calling me by it a few days ago.

Haha, nice. Why do you want to study another undergraduate course when you can advance on your already-chosen and taken road? I don't know about the industry available for your current degree, but wouldn't it better to, as you say, get a Master's or a PhD and go from there?
I like to call people by their given names, it makes things more personal and less virtual, it's as if I knew them outside LT :p

But my love for Literature was always there, and 'The Scarlet Letter' was even the theme of my monograph paper. I never wanted to actually be a Literature teacher, but I guess it would be nice to have it by my side again :)
History and Pedagogy, just because I like these areas. But if I took these courses, all of them would have something to do with Linguistics.
In Brazil you can work as a teacher, translator, text proofreader and several other things related to that area. The problem is that education is not taken serious here as teachers are not paid well and public schools often have poor quality... The Master's would help skip public schools and would head me to superior education - but the problem is that headmasters usually ask for experience in teaching, so it's pretty much hard...

In this case, I'd rather you didn't. I use the internet almost exclusively to separate from my private life and when they're forcefully united I don't feel comfortable.

Oh, I see. I think that the way to get some teaching experience would be to look for a private institution, since they usually prefer having someone who does their work well instead of someone with qualifications to ease the paperwork of governmental bureaucracy. At least that has been my experience here in Venezuela. I did teach in my university for a while because of a general lack of professors and aids, but when they had more options they kicked me away. :P I don't blame them. Then I taught for a while in a private college and I'm sure they appreciated my stay.
I don't know about those requisites for Master's and PhD's, since I don't know anyone else who has run into that problem, but I hope you can solve this so that you can get the life you want.

My resolutions... I have none in specific, except for learning as if I am immortal and living as if I am to die tomorrow. That is my general philosophy.

I expect nothing less than heartache (and headaches) from friends, family and co-workers. I don't do resolutions because I set the bar too high for myself, and I know I can abide by the set of rules I apply to my everyday life. If I had to choose one, I'd say be firmer at work and with family (I've been too nice this last year, no more free passes for any of them).
@Juan- You're good at both already, I hope to see more Spanish content from you though! I'm always up for practice (I'm far from perfect).

I hope I start taking formal classes this year, but as I said, too many wishes, too little time...
Happy New Year and my best wishes to all! Instead of resolutions, I would say that I have some goals.This year I want to complete my undergraduate courses(have to study more, but it is achievable! )and improve my dance and language skills.I really want to finish with my current studies, as I realised that what I actually want is to focus on dance and languages (even considering the idea of starting studies in a university for a language like french).But, as my current studies are totally irrelevant,I have to take one step at the time!:D
