I just added a new song to this site and it's mostly in English with a few Spanish lines.

http://lyricstranslate.com/en/beck-que-onda-güero-lyrics.html

I'm just curious about what the lines say so that maybe the song will make more sense

EDIT: Since I have no clue how to get the link to work, here are the lyrics to the song:

Que onda güero?
Qué onda Jose?

See the vegetable man
In the vegetable van
With a horn that's honking Like a mariachi band
In the middle of the street
People gather around
Put the dollar-dollar-dollar in the can
Ay wey!, que onda?
TJ cowboys hang around
Sleeping in the sidewalk With a Burger King crown
Never wake them up
Mas cerveza
Til the rooster crows
Vatos ver gallos
Qué onda güero?
Qué onda güero?
Qué güero?
Qué onda güero?
Qué onda güero?

Mano Blancos roll with crowbars
Singing rancheras on cheap guitars
Abuelitas with plastic bags
Walking to the church with the Spanish candles
Dirty borracho says 'que putas!'
Andale, Joto, your popsicle's melting
Run better run, da doo run run
Mara Salvatrucha in the midnight sun
Güero, where are you going?
Qué onda güero?
Güero, where are you going?
Qué onda güero?

Rampart boys with loaded rifles
Guatemalan soccer ball instant replays
Mango ladies, vendedoras
And a bus-stop singing
Banda macho chorus

Yeah now I'm going to LACC, man
I'm taking a ceramics class
See the vegetable man
In the vegetable van...

James Joyce
Michael Bolton

Qué onda güero?
Hey where you goin'?
Qué onda güero?
Hey where you goin'?

Hey what's up güero?
"You doing pushups?"
No te veo güero!
El güero!
Que te pasa? A donde pasa?
Otra vero güero
Yo I saw a puppet at Tang's
With a mullet and a popsicle

Hey güero
Que locura!
Chico

Hey güero
Yeah Bro?
Hehehe, footlong?

Let's go to Cap'n Cork. They have the new Yanni cassette

Hello, there!

"Güero" is a tad tricky since it is slang for a person with fair skin/blonde hair, similar to "gringo" and "gabacho".
Since it can also be a derogatory for obvious reasons, I suggest we use the term "Blondey".
"Vatos ver gallos", depending how you see it, you can have it
"Dudes see roosters" or "Dudes see cocks".
"Manos Blancos" or "Mano Blanca" "was a terrorist organisation active in Guatemala in the late 80’s", so I decided to say
"The White Hands"
"Ranchera" is a type of music originating in Mexico, but I have replaced it with "songs", feel free to change it back.
"Que putas!" literally translated to "What, bitches/whores!", though the "Que" here is used as the word "like" in English to describe the grandmothers of how much of a bitch/whore they are. I simply said "Bitches!".
"Mara Salvatrucha" is another gang, unfortunately this one cannot be translated.
"Banda Machos" is a band that means "Manly Band" or "Men Band" in English, I chose "The Men's Band".
Since the lyrics near the end say "Going" as in "Goin'" I did that as well where it translated to "Going" in Spanish.
"Que te pasa" can mean "What's wrong" "What's with you" "What happened to you", I chose the third option.
"Otra vero güero" means "Another vero, guero", the problem is "vero" is not actually a word, so the options here are to go with "Another vero, Blondey", or assume it's another word like "Otra verdad" "Another Truth" or "Otra vez" "Again", I chose "Again".
Overall, what a strange song.
Other than that, here's the translation.

What's up, Blondey?
What's up Jose?

See the vegetable man
In the vegetable van
With a horn that's honking Like a mariachi band
In the middle of the street
People gather around
Put the dollar-dollar-dollar in the can
Hey dude! What's up?
TJ cowboys hang around
Sleeping in the sidewalk With a Burger King crown
Never wake them up
More beer
Til the rooster crows
Dudes see roosters
What's up, Blondey?
What's up Jose?
What, Blondey?
What's up, Blondey?
What's up Jose?

The White Hands roll with crowbars
Singing songs on cheap guitars
Grandmas with plastic bags
Walking to the church with the Spanish candles
Dirty drunkard says 'Bitches!'
Hurry up, faggot, your Popsicle's melting
Run better run, da doo run run
Mara Salvatrucha in the midnight sun
Blondey, where are you goin'?
What's up, Blondey?
Blondey, where are you goin'?
What's up, Blondey?

Rampart boys with loaded rifles
Guatemalan soccer ball instant replays
Mango ladies, street vendors
And a bus-stop singing
The Men's Band chorus

What's up, Blondey?
Hey where you goin'?
What's up, Blondey?
Hey where you goin'?

And where did you find that? In a hole
Over there in the peak
The peak and Vermont
Hey let's go play soccer there in Griffith park
The madness
Yeah now I'm going to LACC, man
I'm taking a ceramics class
See the vegetable man
In the vegetable van...

James Joyce
Michael Bolton

What's up, Blondey?
Hey where you goin'?
What's up, Blondey?
Hey where you goin'?

Hey what's up Blondey?
"You doing pushups?"
I don't see you, Blondey
The Blondey!
What happened to you? Where does it happen?
Again, Blondey,
Yo I saw a puppet at Tang's
With a mullet and a popsicle

Hey, Blondey
What madness!
Boy

Hey, Blondey
Yeah Bro?
Hehehe, footlong?

Let's go to Cap'n Cork. They have the new Yanni cassette

Thank you so much! :)

Hi.
Just want to add a little information about this. I think the lyrics we can find online are not quite right, at least I noticed it twice.
First, at the end of this stanza:
"Mango ladies, vendedoras
And a bus-stop singing
Banda macho chorus"
I think it should be "AT a bus-stop singing/ a Banda Machos chorus". By the way, Banda Machos was a popular Mexican band in the 90's.

The other weird part for me is the "Otra vero, güero", which just doesn't make sense, but also I'm almost sure the man really says again "No te veo, güero" which translates as "I can't see you, blondie". This makes sense to me because just before that line the man yells "Hey, güero, ven pa'ca", which means "Hey, blondie, come over here".

Hope it helped a bit. Great song, I love Beck.
