Name 505

And maybe we'll forget everything and run
We have one love and one only life
And may be we'll forget everything and run
Forever

I'll forget my dear name- yours, of course
My darling name
And my unconquerable love- mine precisely
Your darling name- loved also by me

My darling name- yours precisely
My darling name
And my unconquerable love- mine precisely
Your darling name- loved also by me

Again, and again I try to place the dots
I'll try to understand and even take your b.....t
505,505 a thousand times I've tried to part
But again and again I'll try to carve your name on my heart

My darling name- yours precisely
My darling name
And my unconquerable love- mine precisely
Your darling name- loved also by me

My darling name- yours precisely
My darling name
And my unconquerable love- mine precisely
Your darling name- loved also by me

And may be we'll forget everything and run
We have one love and one only life
And may be we'll forget everything and run
Forever

I'll forget my dear name- yours of cause
My darling name
And my unconquerable love- mine precisely
Your darling name- loved also by me

My darling name- yours precisely
My darling name
And my unconquerable love- mine precisely
Your darling name- loved also by me

Precisely mine, precisely mine, precisely mine, precisely mine,
precisely mine
Precisely mine, precisely mine, precisely mine, precisely mine,
precisely mine
Precisely mine, precisely mine, precisely mine, name

Now, I need a stiff drink. It's so confusing

Why are r1 and r3 the same in english but not the same in russian?

I don't understand r1 and r3. Explain please.

Oh sorry it took so long. I was working on it and then I became distracted. Anyway, I mean that
А может мы забудем все и сбежим
and
А может быть забудем все и сбежим
have the same english translation.

Well, although my Russian is a bit rusty, I would not agree that it is exactly the same:
А может мы забудем все и сбежим - I would translate as follows
Ah, could we forget everything and run
А может быть забудем все и сбежим
Ah maybe we forget everything and run

It is a very slight difference. But as I said, it is years ago since I studies Russian and maybe there is somebody who can translate the nuance even better

Unfortunately, your variant of translation isn't correct in this case. 'Could' means a proposition, 'maybe' means an assumption. Both of the lines in Russian describe a proposition (something like 'Let's forget everything and escape', but less confidently) and indeed the difference in meaning between them is absent at all.
I think 'could' is a proper word for both cases.

The full grammatically correct variant in Russian:
А может быть мы забудем все и сбежим
But we can let out some words in spoken Russian without changing the meaning, i.e. 'быть' or 'мы' or both of them. So possible is 'А может забудем все и сбежим'. The sense is the same.

There is a mistake in this text. In song r1 and r3 sound equally: А может быть забудем всё и сбежим. So that this translation is correct.

But if r1 and r3 were different (as in this text), all the same they translate equally: And may be we'll forget everything and run. Может = может быть = may be. And subject shall be in English sentence certainly (the presence of subject in Russian sentence is not necessarily).

The wording used is just a little bit unusual, but the lyrics convey the meaning of the song with success.

Hi, Sorry, tried to correct the remarks on the English lyrics (the missing "I" to start which got lost when copying the song, but it seems I can only edit the translation and not the song..... So whoverver can please do so.

Has some mistakes, e.g. "yours of cause" instead of "yours, of course" and "may be we'll forget " instead of "maybe we'll forget". Also, the other translation does a better job in capturing the wordplay on "именно", aka "namely", which is a central point of the song and completely absent here.
