Origo (Herkunft)

Du musst deine Augen schließen,
So kannst du mich sehen
Um mein Herz zu erobern,
Musst du meine Seele kennen

Wenn du mich nicht brauchst, lass mich gehen
Ich wurde als Vagabund geboren
Ich habe schon genug gelitten
Aber Gott sieht mich

Jaloma lomma, .... 1

Warum hast du mir vorgelogen,
Dass meine (Haut-)Farbe keine Rolle spiele?
Du wusstest, dass meine Augen braun sind,
Es verändert nichts in mir

Ich verlange schon nichts von dir
Verschwinde von hier, lass mich in Ruhe
Ich will dich nicht sehen
Seist du für immer verflucht

Jaloma lomma, ....

Du hörst meine Melodie, kennst schon meinen Namen
Lang ist der Weg, Wunden sind auf meinem Rücken
Die Tränen Tausender klingen auf meiner Gitarre

I think it's "Dass meine Farbe keine Rolle spiele?" instead of "Dass die Farbe keine Rolle spiele?". Because this part is in connection with the artist's skin color so it should refer to him.

Er hat mir eine echte Pistole in die Hand gegeben -> in this line I'm not sure, that Pistole is the best word, I wrote gun in my English translation but in this case the gun means Joci's talent.

Thanks for your comment. I really appreciate your comments and changed the phrases accordingly. Unlike you, I don't speak Hungarian at all! I have a rather basic understanding of the grammar and armed with a dictionary I gave it a try! Obviously I was not really unsuccessful with my attempt to translate.

However, there was one phrase that really puzzled me. To be honest I looked into your English translation and created something that I thought could work. I would appreciate if you could give a word by word translation as well as a comment on the meaning/grammar for the following:

fel nem áldozható

It's really hard for me to explain this phrase, because I don't want to confuse you. In some cases, when we deny the predicate we separate the prefix from the verb and make an adjective. (not expendable - fel nem áldozható). Grammatically in Hungarian we have a word "áldoz" but it has two different meanings (sacrifice and expend) and in this case sacrifice would be better than expend but it doesn't have an adjective form if I'm right. You can replace it with let go/give up but I think feláldozható means entbehrlich in German.

Nem = no/not (but of course it can appear in different forms like "NOT perfect = IMperfect, NOT stable = UNstable, NOT complete = INcomplete)
Feláldozható = expendable (in this case "fel" is a prefix - auf in German)

In the song it means that the alliance between Joci and God means almost everything to him and the destiny can't offer him more than this relation. It's (the alliance) so deep and strong that only a a stupid person would let it go.

I hope you understand it :)

Thanks, yes, it helps a lot! I really appreciate it!

According to your explanation, I changed my German translation to better get the meaning, although this is more an interpretation than a translation now.
