"напряжён" -> "strained" has a negative meaning. "nerve strain" means something like "weariness of nervous origin". I would rather say "my nerves are primed", i.e. fully functionning, ready for action.
"шифрограммы" -> don't know exactly what these are. Some kind of money order? or maybe an encoded message? Anyway, "Shirograms" does not seem to exist. Typo?
