Prayer

He who sits somewhere up there in the heavens
He who heals all the sick
He who gives great joy to children
He who makes judgments
He is in the heavens and He is the Only One
He, the great and awe-inspiring
He is the one who keeps us from woe

God! Watch over us, please, like children
Watch please and don't leave
Give us light and the joy of youth
Give us strength, more and more
Watch over us, please, like children
Watch please and don't leave
Give us light and the joy of youth
Let us also love

What still remains for us in our days?
What remains all day long?
Sunshine, hope and much gazing away
Dreamlike nights and days
He is in the heavens and He is the Only One
He, the great and awe-inspiring
He is the one who keeps us from woe

God! Watch over us, please, like children
Watch please and don't leave
Give us strength, more and more
Also allow us to love
Watch over us, please, like children
Watch please and don't leave
Give us light and the joy of youth
Let us also love

God! Watch over us, please, like children
Watch please and don't leave
Give us strength, more and more
Also allow us to love
Watch over us, please, like children
Watch please and don't leave
Give us light and the joy of youth
Let us also love

Could you please put the lyrics in Hebrew, and not romanized?

The Hebrew lyrics are ok, but could you go over the English? I think the sentences got a bit mixed up.
(Compared to the previous romanized lyrics)

שמור נא ואל תעזוב, I'm not sure, but maybe "and don't let go" is more accurate?

תן לנו גם לאהוב, "And/Also let us love" sounds better I think, "allow" is like he's the one keeping it from "them."

שמש תקווה והמון מבטים, "a lot of looks/gazes"

לילה ויום של חלום, "Dreamy nights and days" maybe? The point is that they will be like a dream, joyful, no pain, etc.

How do you know Hebrew? (How well, did you learn it?)

I don't understand Hebrew – On the OpenOffice forums, I used to try and help people to get their computers to type in Hebrew, insert vowel points and even incantation marks.

שמור נא ואל תעזוב: Google, Bing and Reverso all give "remain". "Leave alone" perhaps?

תן לנו גם לאהוב: Changed.

שמש תקווה והמון מבטים: Doesn't it mean a lot of things to look/gaze at, which could be interpreted as sights? Is the change I've made OK?

לילה ויום של חלום: My change OK?

It's ok, from here it's up to taste. And go over the second "verse," the lines are off.

Yes, everything's good.

מבטים, when I hear it I think of gazes/looks (from eye to eye), maybe connected to "love" ? But could be what you say I suppose. /so many looks.

צרה, trouble/s is correct, but I don't feel that it's quite right. Umm, maybe "from all woes" ?
Like, צרה is something more serious, trouble would be like בעיות.

Any improvement? Problem is "gaze away" also has the meaning of "look in another direction". "much stargazing", but that doesn't mean much different to "dreamlike days".
