(1) Водолаз- разговорное название породы собак ньюфаундленд, а также неудачный советский эксперимент по выводу новой породы на базе ньюфаундленда — Московский водолаз.
Vodolaz is a colloquial name for Newfoundland breed of dog as well as the Soviet failed experiment of selection a new breed of dog Moskovskiy Vodolaz.
À mon avis il s'agit d'une brillante traduction.
(2) Каурый- масть лошадей. Слово заимствовано из тюркского языка в 16 веке. Означает бурый цвет(один из оттенков коричневого).
В поводу- примерно то же, что "под уздцы", то есть вести лошадь шагом, держа её за повод.
Лошадь в поводу "the horse by the reins."
водолаз - it's just a dog...
каурый в поводу - a brown horse who going step by step, not running... )))
атлас - silk (but google say satin )))) )
в который раз ... - (something) again and again (how much again or so much again)
мои шузы ... хлебнули долюшки - my shoes ... seen a hard times ))))

Доля- судьба, удел "fate" or "destiny"
Хлебнуть- буквально "сделать глоток",
в переносном смысле употребляется в таких выражениях как "хлебнуть горя"
Роса- влага из воздуха, которая конденсируется на траве, растениях и превращается в капельки воды
(как правило по утрам).
Пример употребления : "ходить босиком по росе"
(4) Да, и "видавшие" это множ.число от "видавший"
Это означает человека, который много повидал и узнал в жизни, опытного.
Или в переносном смысле- обувь, видавшая виды- значит, разношенная, старая, в которой пройдено много дорог.

Well, time to catch up with this translation update:
"Водолаз" : I'll keep it a plain dog, with a footnote. I wonder if it's an allusion to "Дама с собачкой", by the way (edit: on second thoughts, probably not : Водолаз is anything but a small breed!).
"каурый в поводу" : "leading a chestnut horse"
"атлас" : I'll keep satin (which is, after all, a kind of silken cloth used in finery)
"в который раз" : okay, now I get it
"видавшие" : I'll try to carry both meanings into the translation : "wise" and "weary"
"xлебнули долюшки-росы" : this remains a tough nut to crack. I agree that here it's not the "хлебнуть горя" sense.
I cannot find a way to translate "долюшки-росы" as a whole, but I propose "my shoes, worn out by the dust of a thousand cities, gathered wisdom from morning dew"

Yes, there seems to be a small bug in the quotation system. When the problem occurs, I simply move the quotation mark to its proper place with a cut/paste, but it's a hacker's solution 
.
The site programmers are usually quite responsive to bug reports and suggestions. If you ask them for help, you should get some soon.
