Wishing impossible things

yo sigo tu luz aunque me lleve a morir,

y aunque otro me acompañe,

y aunque otro me acompañe,

y aunque otro me acompañe,
en silencio te querré,
en silencio te amaré,
en silencio pensaré tan solo en tí.

Wishing impossible things

Versiuni: #1#2#3

Just as the silliest mosquito there's in a pack
I follow your light although it leads me to death,
I follow you the same way full stops normally follow
all the suicidal sentences that look for their end.

Just as the poet who decides he'll be working on a bank
I would have a chance if the worse ever comes to the worst
I'd be able to make to my poor heart just a complex judo lock
obliging him to sign this contract while he's crying a lot.

I'm quiet because it's easier to fool myself
I'm quiet because the reason has won over this poor heart,
but I know that come what may
Though another holds my hand
When the silence comes I'll just be loving you.

Just as the beggar thinks the cinema's just a shop window,
just as a resigned flower dresses an elegant office,
I promise I'll tell "Oh, my darling" to the first person who doesn't harm me
And laughing is a luxury I'll forget when I think of you no more.

But just as people wait like mothers in the Plaza de Mayo
I'm always trying to light candles in silence, cause I'm always thinking just in case
a stroke of luck wants me to see you once again someday
reducing these words I've written to a sheet of paper.

I'm quiet because it's easier to fool myself
I'm quiet because the reason has won over this poor heart,
but I know that come what may
Though another holds my hand
When the silence comes I'll just be loving...

I'm quiet because it's easier to fool myself
I'm quiet because the reason has won over this poor heart,
but I know that come what may
Though another holds my hand
When the silence comes I'll just...
When the silence comes I'll just...
When the silence comes I'll just think about you.

This translation is less literal but I've tried to respect the rhyme of the original song, so it can be sung.
Hope you enjoy it!
