I numeri ordinali - The ordinals numbers

I numeri 'ordinali' si differenziano da quelli 'cardinali' che ho spiegato alla 'prima' lezione perchè stabiliscono un numero d'ordine in una classifica o in una serie. Questi numeri prendono anche il 'genere' del sostantivo o del nome al quale si riferiscono (maschio o femmina).
The 'ordinals' numbers differ from those 'cardinals' numbers that I have just explain in the 'first' lesson because they set an order in a ranking or in a series. These number take also the gender of the noun or the name which they are reffered.

Gli antichi Romani usavano solo questo tipo di numerazione utilizzando queste lettere:

I = uno
V = cinque
X = dieci
L = cinquanta
etc...
Tralasciando i numeri romani, veniamo ora a spiegare come leggere e scrivere i numeri ordinali. Se avete studiato correttamente la prima lezione sui numeri cardinali non sarà poi così difficile capire quelli ordinali: infatti, dall' 'undicesimo' numero in poi basterà aggiungere 'esimo' se maschile oppure 'esima' se femminile, come segue:

If u have studied well the first lesson on cardinals numbers will not be difficult to understand ordinals too: in fact from number 11° on will be enough (or sufficient) adding 'esimo' if it's referred to a masculine noun or 'esima' if it's referred to a feminine noun, like these:
