Z wielu pieców się jadło chleb

Bo od lat przyglądam się światu

Nieraz rano zabolał łeb

I mówili zmiana klimatu

Czasem trafił się wielki raut

Albo feta proletariatu

Czasem podróż w najlepszym z aut

Częściej szare drogi powiatu

Ale to już było i nie wróci więcej

I choć tyle się zdarzyło

To do przodu wciąż wyrywa głupie serce

Ale to już było, znikło gdzieś za nami

Choć w papierach lat przybyło

To naprawdę wciąż jesteśmy tacy sami

Na regale kolekcja płyt

I wywiadów pełne gazety

Za oknami kolejny świt

I w sypialni dzieci oddechy

One lecą drogą do gwiazd

Przez niebieski ocean nieba

Ale przecież za jakiś czas

Będą mogły same zaśpiewać

Ale to już było i nie wróci więcej

I choć tyle się zdarzyło

To do przodu wciąż wyrywa głupie serce

Ale to już było, znikło gdzieś za nami

Choć w papierach lat przybyło

To naprawdę wciąż jesteśmy tacy sami

From many an oven one has eaten bread1

For I've been looking at the world for many years

Oftentimes head hurt in the morning2

And they said then: change of climate

Sometimes a great reception came

Or a celebration of proletarians

Sometimes a journey in the best of cars

But mostly gray routes of the county3

But this has already happened and won't come back

And though so much has happened

The silly heart still longing onwards

But this has already happened and disappeared somewhere behind

Though our papers say we gained years

Indeed we are still same as before

On the bookshelf a collection of records

And papers full of interviews

Another dawn outside the windows

And children's breathing in the sleeping room

They are flying a road to the stars

Through the blue sky's ocean

But after some time

They will be singing this themselves:

But this has already happened and won't come back

And though so much has happened
