I agree but it's also "Taschenrechner" which seemed to be more in line with the rest of the lyrics if you consider the context. Same thing with ausgespäht. We often say "exploited information" which means the same thing as "spied out" yet has more dimensions to it than Intelligence-gathering. It's ALL information... I don't feel strongly about either choice though)
