High time
Now it's blowing cold over the neighborhood, a icy wind is coming.
It creeps into my cottage, and the biting wind causes goose bumps on my skin.
It brings with it an echo of the voices we thought we silenced for good,
and the stench from the wide open graves furthest down in the vampire's castle.
The Fascists roar on the TV, the racists shake my gate,
the Nazis tramp around the house, and the slogans penetrate in.
The demons howl in the garden, a ghost screams in my attic,
and the werewolf howls in the cellar. It is a real cacophony.
It's time to set boundaries,
it's time to say enough;
It's time to show who one is.
It's time to take responsibility,
time to raise your voice;
It's time to choose the way.
You can not lock yourself in and say that you know nothing.
You can not turn your back and say that you see nothing.
You can not be silent and hope that evil stops by itself,
Because silence has always been the idiot's best friend.
Yes, it's time to set boundaries,
it's time to say enough;
It's time to show who one is.
It's time to take responsibility,
time to raise your voice;
It's time to choose the way.

Björn Afzelius wrote the following notes:
"Den tyska staten och de tyska medborgarna blundade på trettiotalet. Den svenska staten gör det på nittiotalet - men hur är det med medborgarna? Ska den ohyggliga historien om nazismen verkligen upprepas i Europa? Kanske rentav i Sverige?"
"The German cities and the German people were closed their eyes in the 30'a. The Swedish cities did that in the 1990s - but how is it with the people? Will the gruesome story of Nazism really reoccur in Europe? Perhaps even in Sweden?"
