Hey, Torp. Merci beaucoup pour votre commentaire et pour les étoiles. This was one of my first translations, only gave a try because it's short and not complex (which is basically the reason why I do not translate from French that often). I've updated my translation now even though a 'that' is all that was changed xD.
The best!
De rien, de rien (:
You deserve those stars!
Yes, I was surprised at first when I found out you had done a French to English translation. But I figured the length of it encouraged you to give it a try (and that was a nice one, so congrats!)
If you ever want to give it another try with another "not complex" text (for a French to English or English to French translation), you can always do so, tag it for proofreading, and let me and other Francophone users know; I'd be happy to proofread if needed (but yes, I know, you're skeptical - it does take a lot to dare translate in one's '3rd' or '4th' language!)
See you 'round,
- Torp

Tell that to Céline Dion's complex French lyrics, which always leave me at a loss xD At least it's practice anyway. Thanks for your feedback and for your kind and always welcome help :)
Aaaah! So you'd be more likely to translate songs you already know and enjoy... (that makes sense)
But midway through, you realize it looked "easy" but is actually overwhelmingly complex to translate? :/
That's happened to me, too, sadly. That's why it's better to fully analyze the text before attempting to translate it, to gauge whether it'd be an enjoyable challenge or a stressful nightmare :p
Sometimes you can be pleasantly surprised by randomly browsing translation requests. Maybe that's something you could try one of these days? I know that I've found some gems by checking the transcription/translation requests more than once!
No problem - always happy to lend a hand when able (:
