Benzin

I need time, no heroine
No alcohol, no nicotine
Need no help, no caffeine
But dynamite and terpentine
I need oil for gasoline
Explosive as kerosene
With a lot of octan and lead-free
A fuel like gas/petrol

Need no friend, no cocaine
Need neither doctor nor medicine
Need no woman, only vaseline
A bit of nitroglycerin
I need money for gasoline
Explosive as kerosene
With a lot of octan and lead-free
A fuel like gasoline/petrol

Give me gasoline

It runs through my veins
It sleeps in my tears
It’s coming out of my ears
Heart and kidneys are my motors

Do you want to seperate from something
Then you have to burn it
Don’t you want to see something again
Let it swim in gasoline

I need gasoline

I was reading and I noticed that you translated "It sleeps in my dreams"...
but I think "Tränen" are tears...shouldn't dreams be "Träumen?...
:)

Yes, indeed a mistake in the translation. I'll fix it. :)

Benzine is virtually unused in common U.S. english. Gasoline is not only correct, but the far better translation imo.

I see, yes, there can be quite a big difference sometimes... I live in the U.S. now, and I see a lot of english lyrics from non native speakers (either translated or original writings) that do not work well with contemporary U.S. english varnicular, even though they want to make it sound "current" or "cool". For musicians/songwriters this can be a detriment if they want to build a following or get more exposure in the U.S. market. Can't speak for U.K. varnicular, though...
