The best part of your life
- 1. “Cuando tu vientre era aún una colina cerrada” - literally “When your belly was still like a closed (not grown) hill”, but the meaning is the same - “Before you got pregnant”.

Lovely translation, just the lines for "cuando tu ayer no existía / pensabas sólo en mañana" look wrong. (There was no typo in that part of lyrics, it's literally "when your yesterday didn't exist, you thought only about tomorrow"
I corrected a typo and removed "+ Video" from the title (videos are very common in songs, and they come and go, why did you feel the need of pointing it out? Just curious)
Muchas gracias.
Let me explain why I submitted it as a new song adding "+ Video" to the title. It’s not for the first time that I added a translation to the lyrics that already existed. Usually I get very irritated when there’s no video there. As a general rule I always add it. You can of course live without it, but I believe it’s nice to have it along the lyrics and not to have to open another tab with YouTube site to be able listen to the song.
Before adding my translation I always write a PM to the one who submitted the original lyrics with a link to video, asking him to add it. Usually it works. In this case the song was submitted by an unknown guest. I wasn’t able neither to write to him nor to add a video link by myself, so I decided to submit it as a new song. The thing is you can not add the song with the same title that already exists here, so I added “+ Video”.
Already few times I did the same, because the ones who submitted the songs didn’t come here for more than one year. Until now I didn’t have any problems with it - at least nobody asked me about it.
Anyway, recently I had a similar problem, but for different reasons. Four days ago I have made a translation of "Bésame mucho" performed by Los Panchos. As I don’t want to repeat myself - here you can read it as a comment to the original lyrics:
https://lyricstranslate.com/en/b%C3%A9same-mucho-correct-lyrics-kiss-me-...
The only thing that has changed after writing this comment was, that on the next day I was able to record the changes that I made and I added the correct lyrics as a comment.
In this case there is no choice - both versions have to be left the way they are.
And as for this song the best solution would be to add the translation done by gringo-de-la-mancha (very nice nick, by the way) to my original lyrics as a first one, and my as the second and then to delete the other song.
Thanks again for the five stars.
Okay, I understand what you did with this. But, next time, you can just report to the forums.
I usually find songs that were uploaded twice (mostly because the author's name could be written in many ways, or because of a typo in the author's name) so I usually just report them in this thread and wait for a moderator to clean it up.
The name is just "Artist and song mergers required" but I use it as a catch-all for any duplicates, empty or "wrong" entries.
(I'm not sure if the "Report" button is ever checked, I stopped using it)
As an editor, I can edit the original lyrics of any song (not their translations) and add videos. Other users just report it at this thread. You can also create your own thread for whatever reason, of course.
I'm not sure what would the proper procedure with "Bésame mucho" would be, either let the mods tinker with the translations, or notify the translators and let whoever reads the notice update theirs... in any case, I reccomend you to report it there.
Beautiful
More &more
Many thanks of you
No offense to the translator but I don't think you're qualified to give a rating seeing as you're neither native/fluent or have studied Spanish. Even if you're fluent in English, you couldn't possibly be able to tell what's written in the original.
